OK, what is that patent said 'on a white background', and the prior art has a black background. or the prior art happened to be on a 4:3 ratio monitor, while the patent specified 16:9 ratio screen?
Does that make an actual, practical difference to the implementation?
If the patent was 'shake to unlock', 'twist in midair 3 times to unlock' or something you couldn't do on an older fixed mount touchscreen, the fact it's on a handheld would be relevant; in this case, it is not.
They would just be selling contracts to buy/sell in advance of the trading window; actual ownership wouldn't change, but if would be bought an sold on a futures market
The full set of tools for debugging multithreaded code is missing I believe; even phone have multicore CPU's nowdays, but virtually any desktop software for Windows (like most games, where the CPU power could be put to use) run on 1, or maybe 1+a fraction of a core.
Sadly, I have a high dpi document scanner for which driver support ended with XP.
My TV tuner cards also only worked up through XP, but they have no analog signals to receive now anyway; except I'd like to use them to digitize old VHS tapes.
Because no new exploits that require immediate patches, with no central authority to distribute said patches, would be found in that released source code...
Is there any difference between a Black Hole/Singularity formed from Matter vs. Antimatter?
Did galactic-sized magnetic fields push the antimatter into the supermassive black holes in their centers?
If you're looking for something missing of the cosmic scale, black holes seem like a good place to look; although I suppose it'll also be the last place you look...
Just my personal experience, in any case, I wanted to simulate natural daylight as best as possible, since studies have shown that blue light is what triggers the circadian rhythm; it's also vital to not use the lights from early evening to bedtime if you try this.
A few years ago I started using a couple plug strips each with 6 'daylight' florescent bulbs during the winter (in Seattle).
Gazing into them for the 10-20 minutes of groggy 'just woke up' time gives me, personally, a boost through the whole day; followed by being able to fall asleep at a reasonable hour in the evening.
ymmv, but if you suffer from chronic sleep schedule drift, I would recommend trying it. You don't need an expensive 'lamp system' Just be sure to get the blue-ish 'daylight' bulbs, not the reddish 'warm' bulbs.
I'm sure the next issue of Newsweek will have his confession.
you mean malattributed. it wasn't an mis-take, it was mal-icious..
Now we know where all the 'Dark Energy' in the universe went, the NSA is using it to break encryption.

" since it doesn't show a hand-held electronic device,"
that's just a narrowing down, it's still just a type of touch screen.
Good thing I use WIndows, so I'm safe.
Fun Fact, retail helium for recreational used is often salvaged from used 'pure' helium from MRI machines and such.
So children's party balloons are filled with medical waste, yay!
And, on the downside, anyone could distribute patches.
Awww, how cute, I bet you still think Pluto is a planet as well?

None, because of Bundling lawsuits.
Microsoft isn't allowed to pack in free stuff.

4,294,967K should be enough for anybody.

Not prematurely burning out your SSD with automatic defragmenting?

The disasters caused by Y2K were so quickly forgotten...
You would also be a goddamned idiot for using unqualified software in public safety situations.
Thats the same kind of person who blaems typos on there keyboard.

I guess I forgot to mention the cheap bulb holders (like this one http://www.hardwarestore.com/p... )
I also wrote a program to adjust my video cards 'color temperature' setting depending on the time of day (but it only worked on XP)
I have yet to hear an ad on Slashdot, maybe you guys got 3rd party adware?
