it isnt soon when TB would be as ubiquitous as GB is now.. intially it was only RAM and now even flash drives are into it.. but isnt the domain of users limited to those in the industry? I mean would a household need this expensive thing "at this time" to back up stuff? unless u have GBs of pron or something to backup.. I sometimes feel the resources are outnumbering the needs (for a common user)..
"We don't think Californians should be able to hunt sitting at their computers at home,"
Oh yeah, we dont want to increase the number of fat Americans.. let them move their ass..
or someone might write a program to do that clicking thing.. and then hunting would melt down to.. "those were the days when there were guns.. now we have.. freeze or I might click!"
I have a doubt, which might sound rather silly, but I havent found a "good" soln:
How would s/w or worms or any malicious orig/widget/[insert anything] get activated unless one is in an admin a/c. I surf in an a/c without any priveleges and switch to admin only when I have something [which I rely] to install..
a naive doubt but plz answer..
this is offtopic as I use windows xp..
plz correct me if I am wrong.. all this works if you are in admin a/c.. some have advised me to browse and work in guest login and only log into admin a/c for dloading "trusted" things.. any insights?
When things are moving forward, we have soomthing to talk about "those good ole days" but frankly the game is interesting initially but later gets boring due to the frequent repetitions..
Yes, first of all, I am kinda jealous that when I submitted the same story on April 28, it got rejected and to my shock today, its in!!
Well,/. submission FAQ warns about such a thing and asks me not to get pissed but to blame my stars, so I was mentally prepared for this.. but this Ronald unmasking brought an interesting thing..
what if one constantly sees a site like freshnews, would it not increase the probability of a story getting posted.. I mean it has all sites from cnet to techdirt to porn-tech site like madville, you name it they have it..
and then there are tech mags like nature, newscientist and trnmag, which have good articles.. so how can such a situation be tackled? or how does accepting of articles get streamlined and give a fair chance to all? I agree that it also depends upon the way the article is submitted instead of just sending the link and a line..
"Won't Gentoo lose all of it's coolness factor if anybody who can click a mouse can install it?"
I thought it was more about "userability" and hence getting more ppl into open-source.. if its abt scaring ppl, then it loses its value.. correct me if I am wrong
I might change to lynx....
Has anyone ever done any reseach on how often Bill Gates has been right in his predictions?
Gates had predicted GUI would not be a hit with the OS (cant remember the exact words, but it meant this) and he was hopeful DOS was itttttt....
correction: asexual not "a sexual" (damn I shud have used the preview button)
its "self-replicating".. without a partner.. so that comes under a sexual reproduction I guess.. or as you can call: pleasuring itself
Pac-man is well settled in life.. in times of xbox and PS2, many (including me) still like to play this.. its time for him to get married now..

One has to guess the search word which generated a given set of 20 images in google's image search

Patent office records the first use of 'tiger':
"a caveman returned to his abode and found a tiger next to his wife and he screamed:
"Shoo Tiger!"
I happen to represent the umpteenth generation of a distant relative of that caveman.. so do I have a share to the booty by tigerdirect?[if it wins]
