My Favorite part of the site.. the google ad words on the left side:
"Airbus a380 for sale. Discount airbus a380. Check out the deals now! http://www.ebay.com"
I LOATHE automatic "features" like this. This should be an opt-in feature.
Let's think about how useless this actually is..
If you're going for the first result in google, you're likely to not have read the rest of the list. What would be the time between delivery of results and you clicking on the first result? 1 second? 2? 5?
So that's a big amount of time for preloading. Thanks guys! Those 2 seconds really helped me out. Not to mention a cache/history of sites i've never visited.
Did any of the alarmists actually go to the download page?
The Yahoo bar option shows up in IE, not the other browsers.
And if people are concerned about this, why not take some positive action? Sure as Macromedia is checking blogs, they'll be looking at how many people download the Yahoo version vs. the regular version.
Instead of sulking, go and download the regular version if this upsets you. To MM, that will be one more person who doesn't want the Yahoo bar.
I had an interview with CSE (http://www.cse-cst.gc.ca/) 2 years ago (didn't make the cut). I was at the University of Guelph, and their co-op program had ties with CSE, allowing for co-op/internship programs.
There's lots of cyber security going on with CSE, and I've heard they prefer the public doesn't know they exist. I'm sure they appreciate this post.
Maybe your school's co-op program has similar ties?
Just to note, your application usually has to be in 4 months before you plan on doing your placement.
Any industrial designer will explain to you: it's the J-factor. A mysterious power that comes from Japanese design. If you need to ask, you'll never understand.
Well, that's what an industrial designer told me when I asked.
Let's say you're pulling in $80K as a developer (40 hour work week). That's $41.60/hr. Not bad!
But now you're working 80 hours a week (no compensation), so really you're now making $20.80/hr. Wait, that kind of sucks... especially if you're making less than $80K.

I love the UI on my rio 600. Unfortunately, the software doesn't work on my mac, so now it's just a plastic box with 11 NOFX songs i can't change.
:)
But the UI is still nice

I'm with you on this one. I could go on, but i'd just be repeating what you've said.

So non-sponsored links appear below the page fold. Good job.
I think they should turn the bad dudes classic into a movie:
"The president has been captured by ninjas"
"are you a bad enough dude to rescue him?"
Done and done.
But are you really making the big bucks?
