    As an anarchist, i will ask from all writers not to abuse this term, anarchism is about people struggling for freedom from capitalist explotaion and state repression, it has nothing to do with primitive vandalism, and actually, many anarchist, among myself are self-proclaimed to be pacifists and non-violent in their nature.
    so please, next time you wish to refer to vandalism, call it vandalism, not anarchism, as this puts a black label on many anarchists which have little do to with useless violence and destruction.

    You want a good word processor other than microsoft?Applixware,StarOffice,WordPerfect, and soon gwp and go
    Yoy want a good spreadsheet?just take a look at gnumeric, it's quite close
    A browser better then IE?I use the good old netscape 3, and i think it's better than both ie and netscape 4.0

    You know, file sharing and web servering were done long time before OLE and ActiveX, and they have nothing to do with web servers and file servers. furthermore, recent tests have shown that Linux+Samba(a file server which uses NT's protocol) totally outform NT.look here.
    besides, Linux today supports Corba, a DCOM alternative

    what he is saying is that people should consider Linux, but not to run Linux just because everybody do.
    Maybe as a linux fan i don't like to hear it, but there is something in what he is saying.

    It did work, in chile, during the early 70's, a socialist presidence was elected in democratic elections.
    The U.S. however, helped his opposition, led by General finushe to take over the country.that finushe btw, killed over 30,000 from chile, and of course the U.S. didn't do anything about it.

    As OSS was for years in the desktop, but now look what KDE and GNOME did.

    If you don't buy these games, than the companies will have no choice other than releasing the source code,
    and when they do, those games will become even better

    i strongly disagree, the quality of opens source
    games improve slowly, look at lincity and freeciv,
    they are not perfect, but they are quite good.
    it's just like a few years ago people said that the
    desktop is going to stay properity, and now look at KDE and GNOME.
    it's all a matter of time, you just have to believe

    not to put them in a cage like happend in russia that was controlled

    Linux does not need more commerical software, i will prefer to see more development of freeciv so it will outform his commercial competitor
