    .kids is a terrible idea.
Only businesses who have pornographic content would have to use .xxx
Any existing website that has kid-safe stuff would have to register additional domains.
Example: Disneykids.com would have to register Disneykids.kids (Or Disney.kids, the Kids becomes a bit redundant...)

Though, for the complete filtering of all content except kid-safe content, .kids isn't that bad of an idea.
Of course, it's only a matter of time at that point before proxy.kids pops up.

  8. 9.3 million is bad? on Vista Sales Rate Fell Last Quarter · · Score: 0

Maybe it fell a bit, but I would still consider selling 9.3 million copies a month pretty damn good. Say each sold for ~$100, since it doesn't state if they were OEM or Retail copies, that's still 930 million dollars a month in sales in just Microsoft's Operating System division.

  14. The blame can somewhat be placed on schools on Do Kids Still Program? · · Score: 1

Schools near me offer very few good computer classes; which is why I'm switching to a different school that actually offers useful courses. All schools seem to offer extremely basic classes like "Computer Applications" which is mostly Microsoft Office Suite programs and is very easy/basic. The only programming courses offered are Visual Basic(Programming 1) and MySql & C++(I think, in Programming 2). In order to get into these classes though, you must have Computer Applications 1 & 2, which, are useless in my opinion and merely delay the time before you can go to Programming courses. I said "somewhat" due to the fact that most middle-class Americans can buy a book on programming from Amazon.com. Though not all people can learn only by reading a book and some of the books are quite costly.

  15. "reply" on Piracy Not To Blame In Decline of Moviegoers · · Score: 1

Since movies cost so much and aren't usually very good, i can only wonder why less people are going to the movies. 7,8,9 dollars a ticket is too much for multiple people or even one.(well maybe not 7 dollars)Not paying each actor 20 million dollars may solve hollywoods problems and movie theatres ticket price.
