He had a whole chapter devoted solely to him and later in the game he was that all important 4th member to fill up your party. Not only that but you got to run his shop and sell battle axes and whatnot for insane prices.
Forgotten history is doomed to repeat itself. The USS Arizona, if memory serves, is one of the most popular tourist magnets for Japanese tourists. Why aren't either hypocenter of the atomic bombs detonations a destination for Americans? The Japanese seem keen to remember their lessons.
As someone who was JUST at the Hiroshima Peace Park last week, I can tell you that you are 100% wrong. Days in Tokyo went by without seeing more than a handful of Americans, yet in Hiroshima at the Peace Museum I saw dozens and dozens.

It wasnt until afterwards that Grand Moff Tarkin (who appeared in Episode III looking VERY much like a younger version of the actor in Episode IV) personally oversaw the construction of a full Death Star with livable quarters, ships, etc.

I mean, seriously. How else would they know who bought it and how to get a name from that serial number? I guess maybe if the store kept your credit card info on file or something and associated it with the serial number, but how often would that happen?
Lesson learned, if you want to print hundreds of forged checks or counterfeit bills, pay for the printer in cash!
