Not another CnC game. I think I speak for everyone when I say CnC is one of the best RTS games out there, but I don't think I can handle another that requires the same tired routine of harvesting, building units and beating opponents. It's not like things used to be 10-20 years ago. Nowadays if you've played one RTS you've played them all. There very few games that manage to keep the genre's good name. (Homeworld, Warcraft to name a few) Nobody wants to play Age Of Empires or Dune anymore. Westwood Studios is really starting to lose it's touch. I pray that the new game is different to every other and that maybe, one day Westwood will come to it's senses and start a new concept, instead of crappy sequels.
IE should only be used if you have a deathwish. There is only one person I know who uses it (but his parents don't let him install stuff). Moving over to the point, why is it that all of the schools and the public libraries use IE? I've also noticed some schools I've been to don't even have firewalls.
As a 13 year old myself, I hate being told to get off the computer. My parents don't care if I'm programming or chatting. If I'm using Linux or Windows. If you are going to let them keep using the computer, force them to learn how to reinstall Windows (or whatever OS you use). If your computer crashes like mine, (which seems happens on a regular basis) you'll save a lot of money getting your kids to do it for you. Ive gotten to that point where I can reinstall Windows XP Pro in about 2 hours, from format to finish. (But I learned all of this because I wanted to);)
As I type this message, I'm using Firefox.
IE is completely useless. It is full of loopholes, has no extra features [or at least ones that work well] (popup blocking, form filling etc). It has a crap download manager (Firefox's isn't awesome either, but it's easier to use) and (I know it's not important) it isn't skinable.
Firefox is small, fast and is easier to use, PLUS it's multi-OS compatible (but which Linux user would want to use IE anyway?)
Unless Microsoft picks up their act (which isn't going to happen), Firefox is going to take the lead.
There's only one thing left to do.... Make it free! Free subscription. Free downloads. Hand out UO CDs on the street.

Unless they have ADSL, theres virtualy no point in giving them internet apps. As far as I know, only external modems are compatible with Linux.
