and there you see, as a corporation going all for the money makes you filthy rich, but you remain unoriginal, unwanted and loathed to an extent that makes people even turn away from money, because you're giving money a bad name with your attitude. imagine that the richest technology corporation on earth might also be a kind, generous and benevolent one. is this mutually exclusive? i for one welcome... no wait, actually i don't care who does wi-fi in the cities as long as it's free, uncensored and available to everybody. i doubt microsoft will provide this kind of service.

Actually, a lot of greedy corporations making money in this case, and the original inventor having to go to court to get some compensation. Was it a greedy corporation that had filed the patent, they would be all over this way before WLAN would have reached the mass market. Hasn't Patent law been invented to protect institutions and individuals from exploitation? How come everybody seems to give a shit? Then again, it's profitable to shut up about your patent and pretend not to notice. The technology will be marketed, the infrastructure is set up, and right at this point you start collecting the fees. Remember? Fraunhofer Institute did it the same way with mp3 a few years back.

    this is not entirely correct.

burning applications actually require you to disable autorun so it doesn't interfere with the burning process.

you get those autorun issues after burning a cd, when the cd has been correctly burned and the autorun content that might be on the new disc is started automatically, confusing the inexperienced customer.
