Me too, Whenever i want to post to slashdot i simply write a letter delivers it at the postoffice and then magically 3 days later it is on slashdot. It is the magic that is the postal service.
Well I couldn't agree more. The basis of the games could be as free as you would like and then you could seperatly decide wether or not to make the content free. You could allow for people to contribute the artwork for example. So that new textures doesn't have to be made for every new game.

Java, Flash, to be able to play all the different types of streaming media and others. I need to be able to read the documents that my schoolbuddies make else i wont be able to communicate with them.

I think that converting the world to free software is a gradual and slow process. Most people don't care about all those freedoms. They don't want to modify anything. We have to win over theese people by price or quality, not by "ethics".
On a sidenote i think there is a dilemma concerning games and other "content". There are some good reasons why it would not be suitable have Free games:
There's a storyline, there should be some consistency, they don't want people to "cheat". A games is like a book. It is a vision. You can make a documentary as a collaboration and with all those freedoms, but an author with a great story would like to keep it his story, even if distributed for free.

It is nice to see som real documentation from independt institutions that document what we have known for a long time. I took note of thge fact that the test had run for 4 years. That's some testing period. Hope that keep MS quiet for some time.
Sure thats going to happen. I am all for working together for the common good. But that does not involve making an exclusive club for the rich European contries. Also it does not involve taking away power from well-established democracies and giving to a large Union that the people can't influence and does not have any interest in.
Personally i would like to see a stronger collaboration between the Scandinavian contries (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland for the americans:-) ) because those are contries who pretty much share the same beliefs and ways of constructing a society. I don't want French and Italian corruption spreading to my contry.
I also find the idea of figting of US with something equally bad is a stupid one. We gotta show that we can do a better job than they have.
Anyways the contries themselves have to accept the new laws. Then fight for years in courtrooms and be sentenced large fines that they can just refuse to pay. Or maybe we'll be thrown out? I sure would like to get kicked(I'm from Denmark)
No matter what. It is always the bureaucrats that get their way. The EU is rotten to the core.
Talk about taking the worst from captalism and statecontrol and putting it toghether...
Well, linux distro can be quite a pain getting without it, not to mention distribute. Also peoples personal videos and music. Another bonus is the centralized way in wich the download starts. you can have the torrent lie on the programs webpage and then have torrent network handle the download itself.
Plus it gives you that added sense of contributing:-D

If you are then I think you should look at your own pollution before you start lecturing others.. Same thing goes with torture, workersrights ect.
