English may not have a separate word for that, but I think "sadistic pleasure" works fine. So English can express this perfectly well, and your point is meaningless.
Maybe the language developed without a separate word for green and blue because the speakers of that language had trouble differentiating between the two. Why are the researchers assuming that it's the other way around?
Yeah, why shouldn't they? Not using the data isn't going to change the fact that the experiments happened. In fact, if they didn't use said data, the concentration camp victims would have been tortured in vain.
Isn't the point of textbooks to present information in a way that makes it easy to learn? You sound like you want a reference manual, which is something completely different (and probably cheaper)
I don't think the grandparent was contesting that the pedophile was a scumbag. He was merely saying that the the pedophile wasn't a scumbag because of the fact that he was a pedophile
Eh, that's not pedophilia. Judging by the freshman girls (freshwomen?) at my school, there are certainly many that it'd be perfectly normal to be attracted to:-P
I thought people were smarter than this on Slashdot.
No, no, not you. I fully agree with your post. I mean everyone who's replied to you. I don't think I've ever seen so many strawman arguments and other [il]logical fallacies in my life, except maybe in some debates about abortion.
Don't try convincing them of the obviously true points in your post (especially #2, which I have long been on a crusade to get people to understand, even though I am not myself a pedophile), as you have already done so to the best of anyone's abilites and they still refuse to understand. You can turn of the computer. They won't understand, they can't understand, just leave it alone.
I don't really follow you. Linux is used all the time in the server market, and a hacker probably cares more about high-profile servers than some random home user. So, why will having a bunch of random home users change anything?
1) Your refinement of the grandparent's statement was not the reason Bush gave. It was invented after we decided there weren't actually any WMDs.
2) There are people a lot worse than Saddam. Some of them were installed by the United States.
Anyway, the reason you gave may have been a good one for invading Iraq, but it, the reason Bush gave, and the reason Bush actually wanted to were three very, very different things.

It depends on how important the data is (or how important the data are, if you're a grammar nazi.)
Yeah, why shouldn't they? Not using the data isn't going to change the fact that the experiments happened. In fact, if they didn't use said data, the concentration camp victims would have been tortured in vain.
Right. I'm sure they're cheaper than $1000.
As others have mentioned, socialism is not communism or some sort of anti-money philosophy.
Anyway, what does your post have anything to do with mine?
I should mention that I go through a lot of blank CDs, mostly legally.
Oh, and it's "last". I hate typing.
I can't remember the lasta time I used my blank CDs for anything illegal, to be honest. I do illegal stuff with my iPod, CDs are for yesteryear.

But the stars are inanimate objects that don't care.
Yeah, you're still a loser.
But it's OK, so am I.
Cobalt Flux pads are generally considered to be the best, and they cost $300 each (not including shipping)
I'm guessing you put that there because I replied to your sig.
Sorry if it was some sort of humor that I didn't get, or something.
Uhh, heard any Bush speeches lately?
That depends how mature (Notice I don't say how old) and capable of decision-making the child is.

You critize him for that, while missing the huge Saaya Irie collection?
If you're going to do ad hominem arguments at least do them well.
Just out of curiosity, are you yourself a pedophile?
I can't blame you for trying :-)
I guess it just can't work. Maybe someday, people will be more progressive than they are now and finally capable of understanding this. Oh well.
I thought people were smarter than this on Slashdot.

What about all the other evil dictators? When are we going to take care of them?
Dude, haven't you ever heard of caloric?
You're so dumb, you probably don't even have a working knowledge of alchemy either.
Uneducated fools.
Yeah, sure.
Only problems:
1) Your refinement of the grandparent's statement was not the reason Bush gave. It was invented after we decided there weren't actually any WMDs.
2) There are people a lot worse than Saddam. Some of them were installed by the United States.

I told them a thousand times to put Spinal Tap first, puppet show second!
