Speaking of nice features: the lasso-select in this thing is pretty kick ass. Does any other software have similar real time highlighting of the selected area for the lasso?
I used to think that, too. Ya got a lot of reading to do, bud, Best start now.....
Well, if you used to think that, and now your opinion has changed, clearly everyone who shared you old opinion is wrong! What a condescending and arrogant way to go through life.
By your logic, I used to be fairly liberal, now I'm fairly conservative. I guess that means (by your logic again) that you have a lot of reading to do, bud. Best start now.
If you go far enough to the left you'd feel that the WashPost is a conservative newspaper.
Just like some people probably think the Wash Times is a liberal newspaper because they're far enough to the right.
My wife knows all of my passwords. Figure if I can trust her not to fool around with the cute guy in her office, I can trust her not to look at my email.
She's a great wife too! Such a hard worker. Always working really late!
actually - this study seems to be anything but conclusive. The researchers of course need 4-5 more years to figure out if they really actually figured out anything to begin with.
Another case of people reading the headline and news blurb and not the underlying information.
Uhmm... did you mean to reply to me? If you did, wtf? I just quoted the article. That's in no way astroturfing and I in no way denegrated Spamassassin.

On the appliance side, BorderWare was a pretty clear favorite. Although it didn't top other appliance-based anti-spam solutions in every category, it showed excellent design and implementation throughout our testing.
Read: it had a pretty box and didn't require us to actually read a manual to get it to work
That was probably because even MS couldn't decide what it was.
.NET, then Windows Server .NET 2003, then Windows Server 2003.
Example: Windows Server 2003 was originally named Windows Server

First impressions: sure beats MS Paint
Photoshop costs a big pile of money.
Any gueses on the percentage of Slashdotters who paid for their personal copy of Photoshop?
If it was above 1% I'd be very suprised.
The source is readily available on their website (well, once the slashdotting is over). Most (all?) of the work was done by students, not be MS.

Yes, except for the fact that a search warrant/court order would give the government free reign over any yahoo account.
Fucking K.I.T.T. would sodomize and destroy the weak ass A-Team van.
Give me a break
it sounds secure!
If you don't like it, don't read it.
But how will I know whether or not I like if I don't read it?

the ability to search text for 10-15 years!?! Oh no! ;p
I was just pointing out the poor logic my parent post.
How so? If you're just passively listening to lots of stuff there is no increase in the amount of traffic. A man in the middle technique, for example.
The only way for it to be feasible is for one half the population to monitor the other
good thing computers can't search text or audio (or video with facial recognition), otherwise the minority would be able to watch the majority
who is going to watch the watchers?
The Watcher in the Woods
Network strain?
As if this would ever compare to the "strain" caused by spam and P2P apps.
ah, yes, that is correct

The Zen allows on the fly playlists -- not sure about the iPod, since I don't own one, but I think I remember reading that you can't...?
The iPod has a "on the go" playlist
simply hold down the button on a song/artist/whatever and it adds it to the "on the go" playlist
