I hope a huge financial penalty is imposed, and paid by the State, which in turn would hurt the taxpayers of that State.
Why should I be hurt for something I didn't vote for? I disagree that it should be we, the taxpayers of Ohio, that endure the penalty for something stupid. I can agree with you that someone should pay it, and that someone could be the legislators that created it.
Nonetheless, I don't see this as a very good thing. This could be harmful for those that get wrongly accused, since it would be difficult for them to get out of it. But this could good for those that are rightfully accused, but have little evidence against them. It is impossible to tell the difference in each case, there is no way to tell if they are being rightfully or wrongly accused. I hope this doesn't last.
Heck, you don't even need a $29 router. Just get an old company PC lying around or something, doesn't have to be all that new.
http://ipcop.org/ or even http://smoothwall.org/. I personally use IPCOP, but smoothwall works just as well. These won't get rid of your Windows boxes, but at least you can setup a linux box inbetween them and the internet.
With THAT many people on high speed connections, how does Big Brother intend to censor them from that evil word, *democracy*? I imagine they could use their Great Wall of China as a hardware firewall if push comes to shove!
Who knows what a "casual seller" is??? And if there is a person who is just above the limit there, do you think they will always be able to pay 50 big ones so they can keep selling? Everyone who isn't a millionare can't pay THAT much. That guy has wasted his time there, but it wouldn't be so much of a waste if he had actually come up with a plan that might WORK.
yes I saw it. I believe it said this would happen 100, 1000 years from that time. When did it happen? not very long after that. I'm 16 and my basement isn't exactly airtight.:-P
