I encourage the users to contact the company and ask fom the exact policy. Why is this not on their website? Why do you have to ASK for it?
They're trying to hide. Can we say "class-action lawsuit" ?
So she's an ex-girlfriend. It happens. Maybe at one point you didn't want to completely let go of of what you HAD with her.
So keeping the domain and administering the contents for her would naturally require communications (direct or indirect) to be maintained.
If she did right away threaten to stick the lawyers on you, do you really want that kind of a person in your life? If she acted like a bitch with you, don't give her the domain. Instead you can CANCEL the damn thing.
That way, she can't get at you with a lawsuit. How can she get something from you if you don't have it anymore? And as you said, it was a vanity thing. No business related content...
So cancelling the domain name and removing its contents will satisfy both parties. You don't actually give her control of the site/domain for free (since she was a bitch) and she can register her own domain later if she so wishes.
That way, you continue with your life and so does she. Trust me, it's better to go own a different path than to stay on the one you are own. Sounds to bitter to me... you're better off.
The problem with most Star Trek series is that you have several writers for one show which unfortunately causes a lot of inconsistencies in the stories and timeline of events.
JMS wrote ALL the seaons of B5 before it even aired! Get that guy to write up some stuff and you have a long-running winning show on your hands! I'd definately watch it!
It's interesting to notice that less and less people believe in the freedom of speech. You do have rights to challenge the laws of you so wish it, but you would have to work REALLY hard at it.
It seems to me that capitalism is challenging/removing people's rights... Could it be?
I think everyone is missing the big point here. Some of you are saying that these men would serve more time in jail than someone who commited murder, rape or any type of violent crime against a person or persons.
It seems to me that jail sentences have been getting harsher by the year for crimes involving fraud, theft or any kind of crime related to monetary theft.
Why are you so surprised? A capatalist society puts more importance on money rather than humanity. A rapist will server 2 years minus time off for good behavior. Someone who robs a bank will serve how many years regardless of good behavior? If it's a Federal bank, good luck seeing the light of day right?
Truth is, it's been like this before the internet got popular.
If you ask me... ok you haven't asked me but I'll tell you anyways!
Apple decided to go ahead with the marketing of service. This means they spent hundreds if not thousands of hours developping a marketing plan and registering a TM.
This company has been in the computer business for decades. They have been on the internet for a long time too. They already knew how the game worked. Why didn't they register the TM and the domain as soon as they put a name to their marketing plan?
Can you say "incompetence" ?
I agree it's a cruddy situation and you have someone that has nothing to do with Itunes profiting from the name, but this is what occurs when people don't look 5 inches past their noses.

Ok if I could mod you, I would give you Karma because that one made me laugh! ;-)
who taught you math???
750 000 000 (750 million) devided by 40 000 000 000 (40 billion) * 100 = 1.875%
Stop being a fucktard a get a clue!!
For someone who makes 50k a year, 1.5% is roughly 750$.
So who has donated 750+ dollars to charitable donations in the past year?
There are a lot of people who would spend that money on computer upgrades or spending money on a vacation...
An article reads that the 10 richest billionaire could end world poverty (http://www.undp.org/teams/english/facts.htm)
Gates might have non-ethical business practices, but at least HE is doing his part!
Who are we really ripping off here?

If AI Bots Pick The Hits of Tomorrow, what's the artist really doing?
There are A LOT of people with a good voice out there and ONLY a good voice. No talents with musical instruments, just a talent with a keyboard.
Why should I give my hard earned money to someone who buys software, punches a few keys and mass produces crap?
I will support the REAL artists. The rest can get a real job.
