    Replace new/delete, malloc/free, whatever/whichever, with your own tracking version. In the end you may come out with an even better idea of memory handling for whatever you are working on at the time. God-awful simple you idiot !! You disgust me that you are so stupid !! Just replace that post with your own comment system, such as replacing God-awful with I'm, idiot with smart, disgust with inspire and stupid with curious.

    People have suspected this before, since the core is hot, and there is frozen methane on the surface, isn't it obvious there should be a liquids in the middle layer? No. In science, like patents, nothing is obvious. Everything is classified as Eureka.

    Question is, is there underground life? If so what the heck does it look like and what does it do? Who cares as long as it doesn't look like something you'd find on Goatse.cx.

    I hope the Huygens probe hasn't contaminated the environment my spreading earth bacteria. Sorry, but I'm sure it has. We are humans and we eventually ruin everything we touch.

    ... but important nonetheless. It will certainly be cheaper than newer "hydrogen only" technologies coming out and will allow small areas (from rural US to many locations in developing countries) to produce energy for 1/2 the fuel and CO2 emissions. Improvements in efficiency are a step in the right direction. Not everyone (or everywhere) will be making the big energy leaps at the same time or the same pace.

    Google Search is a primitive tool used by fanboys "Googling" for pictures of Natalie Portman. Ha! Shows what you know. The only pics I search for are of a tall drink of Texas water named Patricia Vonne and of Cowboy Neal in his homemade Hulk costume. Who knew the Hulk wore a tri-corner hat & rainbow wrestling boots?

    The new version of RealPlayer will be released in June. Sorry Mac users, no Real enabled ripping for you until later in the year, Windows only at this stage with support for Internet Explorer and Firefox. Sorry Mac users? I guess lack of Linux support doesn't even warrant a mention (let alone an apology)? I'm sure glad there are no other browsers out there except for FF & IE.

    I see they're trying to avoid becoming the middleman in content lawsuits by avoiding "DRM infected" content, but that won't protect them from the copyright owners suing them the very first time the MPAA downloads a clip from a movie.

    Slashdot posters are some of the dumbest people around. This guy must have his underwear pulled up around his waist. Now now ... just because I happen to enjoy a good snug fit to my tighty whities doesn't mean I'm stupid. That is accomplished by my head being up my ass. Which, just as a side note, is more difficult when my bun huggers are so tight they look painted on.

    ... where the cuts will occur. Obviously the Circuit City cuts will be in the US, but what about Dell & Moto? Any bets that they are not in the call centers of India? The Dell article mentions employees in England & Ireland but doesn't say where the cuts will be.

    Nothing like making the employees pay for management's bad decisions.

    The old HP-150's had what was called a 'touch screen'. When your finger broke the infrared X,Y grid it registered it as a 'touch'. We used them as POS devices with great success.
