ever used a C++ compiler? Then you're going to be writing Darl a check. I'd write him a check today, really I would, but the check writing app I compiled with the aforementioned C++ compiler has a bug in it. I'm working on it Darl, so please be patient.

$1600 (let's see- that's 2-3 weeks pay) for a new school, completely unproven? I'm eligible for tuition reimbursement and such, but my HR department would laugh me right out the door. Actually they've been doing this since 1998. From their site:
Since 1998, the University of Illinois Office of Continuing Education and the Department of Computer Science has been offering online, experiential Information Technology courses and Certificates through Useractive, a company founded by U of I instructors and alumni. A partnership was formed with O'Reilly Media in 2002, and now in 2007 UserActive's course offerings became The O'Reilly School of Technology.
WTF. How is this related to my post? After some stringent analysis and peer review, it is my professional opinion that based on its X/Y position as compared to your post, its relationship to your post is that of a hierarchical child.
In all seriousness, the guy is just being an asshat.

With SCO's reputation being sh*t, pursuing bogus claims about Unix rights it doesn't even have, facing financial ruin, its officers potentially facing civil litigation for pissing away millions upon millions of shareholder's dollars on this crap, and a handful of other problems, I doubt they really care if they are labeled as hypocrites at this point. It's kind of like a murderer worrying about committing perjury - it can't get much worse once it's gone that far.

I'm looking at my microwave oven right now, but I don't think there's much I could do with that," If he was a real chip-head he'd know he could use his microwave for Hot Pockets or pasteurizing yogurt.

You can't vote on scientific truth. For example, if even a majority of America is seen to believe in Global Warming in some kind of inane Gallup Poll, well tough noogies if the evidence shows otherwise (random pov, the reverse is also true). People's opinions DO NOT matter unless they are informed decisions rather than the "close-your-eyes-and-pick-one" sprt of decisions that are ruining this country. Sadly, in America we do reduce most issues to inane Gallup Polls, and Media Outlets & Political Parties tell us what is true or not (usually based on as little information as we individuals have amassed ourselves).
Everyone's beliefs and emotions are directly involved in every decision we make and expecting the masses to make a logical and informed decision about anything is about as likely as getting everyone to agree on which lottery numbers to pick.
A source not cooperating never stopped an author before. He could have just used some creative license and made stuff up. The chapter would be called "AMD - If We Did It".

Are we still talking about the HD/Blu-ray thing or are we on to the PC/Mac thing again?

I guess SCO could buy back their own shares ...
... if they were out of toilet paper or maybe had some other serious paper related dilemma ;-)

Please disregard this post as it comments on the taboo subject de jour, and I would hate to make it worse.

Since many viruses arrive via e-mail, wouldn't excluding .pst files from a virus scan be a bad idea?
A web-based runtime environment? Wouldn't that imply it's as secure as your browser and your other OS?
