    The press needs to report on the results as soon as possible to stay relevant. If the results come out the next day at noon then no one is going to be watching CNN, et al, all night waiting for the results. BTW, does anyone really think it's a coincidence that elections happen in the middle of November sweeps? (it is a just a coincidence but that wouldn't help make my point, now would it?)

    Of course Futurama is historically sound. It's from the future. It even says so right in the title: Futur ama. That's a portmanteau of 'Future' and 'historically accurate drama'.

    Well this certainly makes it much more easier to move your nonsense-data around, but how long untill all the data is available on piratebay?

    I guess that depends on how long it takes a clever virus to start looking for traces of these downloads on someone's PC and start harvesting the information. My guess is less than 60 days ... but it may not be on PB first as I'm sure there are other 'markets' for this type of information.

    Being 33 digits, that is just strange. Dropping the first 1 to make 32 would be more fitting, but the first digit is still a 1, so unless he is into ANSI art, I doubt this is ascii encoding.

    He could be using one of those new fangled 33-bit processors from a startup company. You know, "Now with more digit power than your 32-bit processors ever dreamed of! Never lose the leading digit to that pesky sign bit again!"

    I mean think about when was the last time the US government could do dick with computers? The US government was broken into by some retard in the UK using default passwords. How can people seriously believe the US government could come out with something like this.

    Considering this was done by taking advantage of a hardcoded and well published default username and password I'd say anyone could be behind it ... including the US government.

    I'm glad that this worm didn't cause a meltdown. I have 'Homer leaves a donut in the reactor core' in the Meltdown Pool and would hate to lose my $10 to some governmental conspiracy that isn't even playing.

    I don't know what they allege that those they have arrested have done

    They're probably charged with 'Breathing Iranian Air without Governmental Permission' which usually results in a sentence that prevents them from becoming repeat offenders.

    Anyone making bomb threats needs to be found, arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. If you act like a terrorist or terrorist organization then you should be treated as one.

    If my original post gave the impression that I thought a bomb threat was OK I'd like to clear that up right now: Bomb threats are unacceptable and should never be tolerated.

    I'm not justifying the actions of those who made the bomb threat or who are behind the DDoS attacks, but if US Copyright Group is going to act like a bully they are going to experience some backlash in a variety of forms. They think they can do as they wish just because they're lawyers, etc, but they're discovering that the public doesn't like a bully, plain and simple.

    The title is very misleading ... it should read "Iranian Gov Uses Telecom Backdoors Required By US Gov"
