I spent more on my TiVo than what a PS3 costs, so its not an issue of whether I can afford it. But, it does come down to value. How does the PS3 provide the additional value for what they're charging, since it's so much more than its competition? It flat-out has features that I don't want, so in effect, are worthless to me. So at this price point, I will not buy one. When the price comes down, I'll re-evaluate. I learned this fantastic skill over my lifetime, its called patience. If I wait for certain things, I get them at the exact terms that I want. In the meanwhile, I'll catch up on my reading or whatever HD glory my TiVo recorded for me.

Elston or Milwaukee are fantastic streets for heading towards the loop, and Damen is a nice north-south. Unless you're coming from the southside, in which case I don't know anything about that.

1500 lbs! With the 350! HA! The 350 alone almost weighs 600 lbs. The curb weight of the Fiero was a hair under 2600 lbs, and that was with the aluminum (?) block V6. The cast-iron 350 surely would have added to that, not to mention throwing off the weight distribution, mid-engine or not.

Actually, this happened to me once, as well. I was running late one morning(as usual), and this particular check had to go out immediately. In my rush, I didn't sign the check. Writing checks isn't exactly second nature to me, since 95% of my bills are paid electronically. Several weeks later, I was looking at my online check scans, and realized this one hadn't been signed. The processing center stamped "Verify check with maker" in the signature area, or something like that, but I never heard from my bank. It wasn't a big deal, since the check was for a minimal amount, and I really wanted it to be cashed, but its still a little worrisome.

The only even money bet in craps is the Odds bet. But, in order to make an Odds bet, you have to first make a Pass or Don't Pass bet, which has odds against you of about 1.3%. So, to make the even money bet you have to make a negative expectation bet. You can even out the negative expectation by playing a high Odds table. A couple of casinos offer a 100x Odds game, which lowers the house advantage to about 0.2%.
