First off, it's "President Trump" and execution of his platform is pretty much what the voters expect, isn't it? Or have we come to expect less of our voted officials?
Whose responsibility at the Financial Times is it to verify data before publishing it as fact? How culpable are the editors here for publishing fake news?
"UPDATE (2:53 PST): Google say it hasn't lined up any deals to share revenue and user data with online news sites, calling Sunday news reports "totally wrong."
.. with no supporting facts. Important things like how long can you "fly" a device that weighs 100 mg? How do you control the device with even a 3 mph wind?
The article is so significantly short of fact it reads like a new kickstarter project (without the CG video).
I haven't have a cable sub for over 10 years. Currently there's no show, event, or news I can't get live or with a 15 minute delay on the stream, without commercials, without ANY subscriptions. The first few years it was a little difficult, but today is click and point for anyone with any research ability. It's child's work to watch any content today without subscription (regardless of how many times addons/plugins/protocols/services) are "shut down").
But, when Joe Sixpack finds this out, we all find another route, as we did with guntella, supernova, mininova, TPB... and countless other swarms, clients or services. Until the distributors play nice, there's no other viable route.
". Do you really want the kinds of markets we had before the SEC was around?"
No, but I do want the type of SEC that was in operation before the Clinton(s) were in office. You know the one that required transparent, orderly and fair markets for all buyers and sellers (not just for club members)?
That's just because there's a steaming pile of feces on their desktops that they don't like the smell of, don't understand the application and don't care that they are actually making laws that effect the way new technology gets to be developed and implemented (and they're too scared to ask their 12 year old daughter what it means).
"Remember - only Russia posts your private business on the internet. "
That's correct. Here in the USA we use unwarranted surveillance only to get sufficient enough information necessary to do a parallel construction of legal evidence to legally convict those we don't like. That way they can't say we violated their civil rights. Heck, it's easier than a FISA warrant.

Wrong! The content is still hosted at the server.
we can't be friends?
"And it's called gouging. "
No it's not. It's called profit. Don't like it? Become a seller, assume the risks, partake in the profit or just don't buy.

"Lost my 5 digit userid when I couldn't remember"
This is what happens when.... what were we talking about?
"A petition asking Mattel not to release the Aristotle gained more than 15,000 signatories."
It's a pretty easy fix for a product you don't like or agree with, DON'T BUY IT!
Petition, please. Some parents may WANT to expose their children to this type of technology and you don't have the right to tell them not to.
Here's a very populated swarms hash.

"Will people then be sold in supermarkets too?"
Of course not, they'll be an app for that (like Uber). No one wants to pay retail for people!
