    When you read his book it will sound paranoid. It did to me anyway but then I come here to ./ and see this, I remember the drug searches, I remember the Mac book incidend. So he may be unto something.

    Then I start to think - the only programming classes I ever took was VB6 where I concluded the teacher was wrong and did it like i should have been. However I learned Delphi from varius magazines, C from a book my father had and C++ from a book i brought. I learned Java from a tutorial on the net and a book in the (not so) local library.

    But you may say that I at least learned to read/write and do arimethics in school? So did I think until my mother said that it was her who teached me that - and she properly did, or at least gave me my passion for books.

    So Gatto might be unto something anyway.

    That could be the reason - it could also just be that you love to develop and know that people use your program. Users who report bugs you already know about does not help you development efforts nor do they help others - so you might get pissed.

    Loss does not depend on who many troops are lost - then UK would have lost the second world war before Hitler went into The Soviet Union.

    Loss depend on not getting the objectives you want. And therefore the US has lost (remember - the cakewalk? Did that happen?)

    Well yes if you are writting a book (article or other information to be printed etc)

    But if you are just sending a note to someone - why not just use a simple old time txt file?

    But the removal info is not needed. The client simply needs to install a firewall (could be provided from the ISP) blocking every incomming and all outgoing connections exept on port 80 and dns (only to the ISPs own DNS server).

    Then the client can search for the solution to the problem themselfs - and they would do so because they cannot send email before the problem has been fixed.

    They need a loan, they need to collect all their debt (sans maybe the house) at one place, and if they are lucky, they can get a better interest and therefor get out of their debt pit.

    Just an idea - decied on two times a day you will read email. Then when ever anyone send you an email have the program send an automated email back saying that you have recied their email but will not be reading it before such and such a time.

    Then they cant complain since you already told them.

    Or two children.

    Yeah there are three seats in most cars - but there is not enough room for three persons (you can have 3 childen if none of them are skinny)

    Just let them have a book to read or read one too them. The driver normally hears music anyway and if abselute silence is required give them an mp3 player and some audio books.

    It is a security feature. That way you would have a computer protected extreemly well from most malware.

    There is a special filtering software that block sites based on its contents. I cant remember the name but it should be better than just allowing wikipedia.

    That said - the wikipedia article on sex is properly better than sex.com for education. Plus there are no pictures (I have just checked)

    Yes, there are too many people on this planet. But the problem with the falling birthrates is, that we get alot of older people who are less productive than the young ones.

    That said, we need a global population around say 3 billion. The earth cannot really sustain more for a prolonged time.

    But therein lies an economic problem. So politicians will try to get us to have more children.
