Try on the plf build of mplayer. Works fine.
Warning: Only view said video if you have a very strong stomach. I've seen horror movies that frightened me less!
If u want to install Debian, easiest way to do it is by booting into a knoppix cd & doing "sudo knoppix-installer".
That way, you won't have to go thu that horrible, buggy and inaccurate Debian Installer (It couldn't detect my scsi controller or my graphics card or my eth0, but knoppic could).
After installation, lo and behold, u have a complete debian distro in ur harddrive in less than an hour!
Well, not real Theoretical Physics. Most of it is horseshit with a few jargon buzzwords from Theoretical Physics thrown in so the books capitalize on Discovery-Channel style propaganda and sell better. I mean, seriously folks! Discontinuity drives? Grand-Unified Engines? Quantum telecommunication through entanglement? Violating every law of causality in time for breakfast? Gimme a break! Legitimate physicists know that it is all glamor and half-truths (like Fox News). I still like Arthur C. Clarke better. Sure, he may be a pedophilic bastard, but at least his fiction is more down-to-earth and more consistent with established science. Even Michael Crichton makes more sense than this pom.
Yeah? well, let's look at some AMERICAN movies, shall we?
Boy (i.e Brad pitt, Arnold Schwartzenegger, or that awful Belgian asshole: not Poirot) meets girl (i.e. some eurotrash model with a vagina that smells like week-old sushi) in forest, when nuclear bomb from "Muslim Terrorists" blows up said forest and nearby cities. Boy survives (despite physical impossibility) because God said he would. Boy decides to do the "noble thing" and kill anybody within range of his shiny new bazooka who wears a turban on his head. Boy has sex with girl in public, followed by lots of gratuitous breast-baring. Boy then votes for George Bush and renders humanity extinct (to be continued in sequel). Also, there will be a "prequel" explaining how the model got a smelly vagina.
The trouble with American/Desi cinema is that it is managed by Americans/Desis! The difference is that WE are aware that it's all crap. As much as I dislike Europeans, at least their cinema is decent!
Well, I can't read Urdu much, but I'm using Firefox now & it looks fine to me! All the semitic scripts seem to be rendering properly, even Hebrew! (http://www.qsm.co.il/Hebrew/hebrew.htm). It does not render Indic fonts well, but Indic fonts & locales are so poorly developed (not much demand for 'em) that I can't say I blame Firefox!
Oy! Don't make categorical statements that aren't true. Pressure equals temperature (after appropriate dimensional analysis) only in IDEAL CLASSICAL gases! Certainly not true for Quantum Degenerate gases in White Dwarfs, or in superfluids, or in some exotic plasmas. In fact, in many cases, pressure does not even have a monotonic dependency on temperature.
Qualitatively, though, the statement is correct in this case. A virial equilibruim is obtained between thermalisation from fusion & gravity, though after nova, the equilibrium can be reestablished by Quantum Degeneracy pressure (basically, this means that, since electrons are fermions & can only occupy one set of degrees of freedon each by the Pauli Exclusion principle, the gravitational collapse trying to cram electrons into common states will be negated by a "pressure" (it is a pressure in the statistical sense, for it is a thermodynamical variable that can be calculated from the partition function in a way similar to regular gas pressure) from this principle & the star may not collapse into a black hole.
Actually, the dynamics of supernovae are basically gravity-induced. When all the hydrogen has fused through helium all the way to iron, the inner core collapses, and the reaction (a-la Newton's third law) blows the outer skin off! If the Chandrasekhar limit is satisfied (I'm oversimplifying a bit, of course), then the inner core eventually crosses the event horizon, though strong magnetic fields and rotations make all sorts of wierd black holes. For details, ask a guy who cares, like a general relativist.
Basically, a self-similar Poincare Hypersurface of a dynamical system that is sensitively dependent on initial conditions in at least one of it's phase space dimensions.
Exactly, I remember doing some Surface-Photovoltage & PL measurements on PPV over a 5K-300K range during my masters' days. I kind of lost touch with that line of work, but it was interesting to see semiconductor like activity in materials which had no business having bands. Just that these polymers are so long that molecular orbitals delocalosed over appreciable length scale can do the trick also.
I saw a discreet jump in both, probably due to the dominance of inter-chains over intra-chain excitons causing a new recombination process.Kind of lost touch with the research in that area after I graduated, though...
Yeah, some of my friends in Mumbai wer beaten by coppers too when they drove drunk, but they deserved it at least.
The trouble with Yanks is that they suffer from this strange hallucination that their christian god has declared them to be racially superior to us and, consequently, their police are incapable of acts of brutal barbarity. In this great state of Texas where I now live, coppers have been known to sodomize prisoners and force them to fellate other coppers and often even to themselves (a task that is anatomically unsafe, so say the least). Furthermore, in nearby Williamson County, the police cover you with blankets and beat you with their nightsticks. The blankets prevent any external injuries, so all the mess is in your internal organs. That way, it is more difficult to prove brutality in court. Welsome to the land of the free and the home of the brave and all that bullshit!
Yeah, it explains something of the white-trash yank retards out of high-school who can't integrate x*e^(x) without running to a bloody PC.
One of the white man's many extraordinary delusions, as Nehru put it.
One feature of OLED's is that they are relatively easy to make. All you need is an n-doped Si substrate. You just use a dropper and drop a solution of Poly-Phynelene-Vinylene or whatever (dissolved in Acetone or something) and then even it out by spinning it. The solvent evaporates and the residual PPV+Si forms a diode! Can be done in 10 mins. The photoluminescence spectra of these OLED's is a topic of interest in research today, and people are trying to apply delayed PL models to it.

Please don't forget that Opera is clearly having its focus on the embedded market.
[/quote]
Mozilla does that too, actually, with minimo:
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/minimo/
It would be interesting to see how they'd compete with each other. I'm a big fan of just about anything that the Mozilla Foundation develops, but Opera's cool, too. I just do not think it's right for a browser battle to begin here between Firefox & Opera. They're both fine. Let's join hands and attack MSIE instead ^__^
Tried 1.0???
Anyways, to say that the Mozilla Foundation "copied" tabbed browsing from Opera is misleading. They implemented the same features, but with their own code. Nothing wrong with that. The Japanese have built a great modern civilization based on this principle.
Dillo http://www.dillo.org/ INCREDIBLY FAST! Doesn't do much, though.

Sigh! I suppose the subtleties of sarcastic expression are truly quite alien to the Occidental Anglo-Saxon mind...
And Christians are Pedophiles and mass murderers, so I guess they're even.
How very typical. Confusing the "AND" statement with an if(then, else) one. No wonder we're better than you in programming.

Heh!Heh! That was a satirical joke. A tad sophisticated for some I guess...
OK, Try this: http://johnhaller.com/jh/mozilla/portable_thunderb ird/
U can put Thunderbird in ur USB key, config it & take it with u wherever u go.

U cud use IMAP in Thunderbird (provided ur mail server's running the IMAP server prog) & not bother abt losing ue emails to a crash! It's what I do.

There are those who are ready to destroy you and your savage religion when the time comes, redneck!

Beethoven was deaf (though not born deaf).
Dammit! Where were these women when I was in school back in India?????
Freedom is for savages and looks good only in cheap H/B/T/Xollywood movies. Democracy is NOT freedom. Democracy is civilized.
