I don't know why they didn't aim for the AMD64. Seems like that's the future of desktop procs. Won't software have to be recompiled for AMD64? I like Apple, but I don't like this move.
Direct video to DVD burner's can be had really cheap. Around 150 dollars. You don't really need a mastering deck, as I doubt CVS will let you pick and choose the 20 minutes of video burned to DVD, I doubt it will be pressed.
A DVD-r can hold an hour an a half of video and costs around 10 cents each.
I guess it would be neat for activities that may damage normal gear. Such as taping sharks and shark attacks or hang gliding, or skiing down a mountain.
But at 50 dollars for one dvd, seems to much.
Yeah, 30 dollars plus 13 for processing to get one DVD. So around 50 dollars with tax for 20 minutes of video. So to get a movie length dvd, you will have to buy 6 of these. 9 if you want to make a LOTR. or 18 if you want to make a trilogy or 25 if you want to make the directors cut of LOTR. That's 1250. You can buy a HD cam for that price and plus the benefits of not changing the dvd every 20 minutes.
I think it's more to do with CPU and how good the Athlon is and bad Quicktime player is.
My friend had a piece of shit AthlonXp laptop 2100+ with a integrated vid card that played HD video smoothly. However on a iMac G5 2.0 Ghz. It struggled. It helped when moved from Quicktime player to VLC.
Supposedly, Tiger is supposed to use the graphics card to offload some of the quicktime stuff so I suppose the graphics card may help somewhat.
I like the idea of an engagement car or engagement suitcase or engagement Powerbook. But the problem with those things is that it doesn't last forever. Diamonds I guess do. But I guess the nice thing about an engagement ring is the resell value if the man chooses to call off the wedding. Wait, there is no resale value. hmm.
Next ask slashdot. Has any one know of any that invented a time machine and went back in time to create a real diamond wedding ring? I especially don't want to make sure it's not a time machine created by Chevron as I don't want blood on my hands.
So you want financial insititutions from collecting financial information from people? Makes sense. I propose a new way of getting approved for home loans. Magic 8 ball loan. Instead of complicated formulas, under writers, and stolen identity we can use a Magic 8 ball. You shake, ask can I get a 100k loan to buy a house. Answer. Outlook not good.
It really isn't a solid legal position. Plus being an ISP is different than hosting a LAN party. I doubt this lan guy can afford the 300 an hour it takes to consult with an attorney in which the attorney comes back and says. I don't know, the law isn't clear. Do it at your own risk.
So on the witness stand. The plaintiff lawyer will be like. Did you know that people were exchanging warez? What did you do about it?
Then the defense will state, well I talked to a lawyer, he told me to do A,B,C and it would be okay.
So you knew what you were doing may be infringement but you had this lan party anyways?
It is important in copyright/patent/trademark context because wilful infringement is a higher penalty than non wilful infringement. So you might be found liable for contributory infringement. But not wilful contributory infringement which may result in higher penalties and such.
I had a Sony Vaio Srx, it both had a PC card slot, and an easily accessible Hard Drive that was removable with 4 screws. Perhaps Apple should go back to letting Sony design their Notebooks.
The poster said that All their tech was 2 steps behind. Which is not true. The poster should've stated, All their notebook tech was 2 steps behind. Either way, Not all Apple notebooks are 2 steps behind, iBooks on the other hand, although I love my ibook, would it have killed them to have one PC card slot.
By asking a lawyer, then that kind of admits that you are a wilful contributory infringer, which is a no no. Once you take on responsibility for detecting pirates and what not then you open up a whole can of worms. What if you eject someone who is not a pirate. That person can sue for defamation, breach of contract. Etc....
North Koreans go abroad to study. Japan is especially popular. I've heard of North Koreans in US schools. But not sure if it is just a rumor.
How can Kim Jong Il be the only one with internet in North Korea, what about the sysadmin. Or what about the nerdy North Korean teenager that comes in and cleans out his spyware. Or how can he Pwn in Star Craft without internet. I guess he can go to Lan Parties, but that gets old, especially when your Monitor is like 1000 pounds.
There are many reasons why there aren't internships for High School students. One of them being that high school students should be out there having fun and enjoying the sunshine. Also labor laws for High Schoolers are different than for college students. If this guy was truly talented, he would have entered college in the various early entrance programs. I.E. Juliard for talented musicians.

My advice: Get a GBA with the movie adapter using CF cards. Quality might not be as good as a PSP, but battery life and compactness and cheapness makes it attractive.
Abortion was legal when Einstein was born. In fact you might realize that Einstein was raised in a country that later that sent these people to training camps. That trained them from alive to dead.

I've seen non sony ones that cost half as much.
Not disagreeing with you or anything.

ibooks and mac minis are made by ASUS.
I used to play Leisure Suit Larry back when I was 12. And I have no trouble getting women. Oh wait...

Yes, because desktop Windows PCs being sold today are running 64bit processors with 64bit Operating systems. Damn that Apple and their backwards tech.
It can be evidence that you knew or should have known what you were doing wrong.

On the other hand, the Washington Times is owned by the Moonies.

his mommy told him. my mommy said I had a handsome face, but no girls like me. Dear Slashdot, what is handsome slashdotter to do to get a date.
Oh oh, blame me.

Einstein couldn't talk until he was five, and also he married his cousin. I rest my case.
