Why was this modded flamebait?? I fully agree. As someone who as admined enterprise environments on both setups I know this is the case. Good post my man!
Normally I don't feed trolls but this cracked me up. First he doesn't care bout blacks. Then he doesn't care bout whites. I needed a good laugh. Thanks.
It doesn't work very well using the "real" client either. Well maybe its just my 3 firewall setup (border router/wireless router/[iptables xp firewall]) on the client. I have no problems with IRC file transfers though.
I agree. Living in California I don't even have to leave the state to experience an entire range of climates. We have amusement parks here. We have got it all. Lots of high tech industry corps are head quartered here. Life is good being a Californian. Go bush! Go Arnold! Go USA!!!
Yes but you do that and the FCC will shut you down real quick. Being licensed means regulation and monitoring. You really don't know what your talking about do you? You just think you do. Go back to reading/. and pretending to know what your talking about but don't post ok? Thanks.
Yeah that works for small single user systems. Try blacklisting an entire ISP at any decent sized orgainization that needs to provide services to the world at large. I have a feeling you don't really admin systems and are just trying to impress us. Go back to reading slashdot and pretending to work in IT.
No but a lot of times they use a single e-mail address. Especially the people that usually post to usenet. They use the same e-mail address for several years. I know I have used mine on a large number of posts to Usenet/. blogs etc etc. And its on my resume. So is my website which has links to my blog. Also my full name (first and last) is fairly unique.
If longevity is the #1 issue for your appt hen your best bet in the long run is Linux simply because the kernel source code is available to you and can be customized to work exactly and naively for your application.
No. If longevity is important then Viagra is what you need. No need to worry about source code or customization. It just works. Newer models last longer;)
I normally don't feed trolls but I am in the mood today.....
Get off your high horse Klootzak. You are the one over reacting. You need to pay attention and engage mind before mouth/typing. Consider yourself shot down and corrected. You totally misread the post and are out of line. weierstrass made a valid point and corrected you. You decided to take it wrong. Way wrong. I have a feeling you think you are always right and argue a lot. I am going to say your male. Late 20's. Single. I could go on and on about your psych makeup but I won't.
And you think for a second that Google would let one of its employees say something not in line with the company goals? Bah. And before you go and say that people have there own mind and the company doesn't own them etc..... trust me. Google 0w3s its employees totally. I know.
Do you need to look for alternate hosting? I am also about to release a morphix based live cd of my project. I plan to use SF to host it. Morphix uses SF for hosting of ISOS. I don't know why you can't.
Here is my setup:
I use my own host for my project website (http://www.thewybles.com/~charles/oser) and SF for bugs/e-mail/source control etc. I use my own host so I can have raw level access to the server logs which SF doesn't give you. But everything else uses SF. They have taken all the hard work out of project management.
No they get patents to stifle innovation. Just because you have patents doesn't mean other people can't/won't use them against you. And as for who modded the parent funny I agree with the mod. I laughed when I read the post. That makes it funny;)
True. Gradual corruption is worse but more difficult to do. With source control/revision tracking its almost impossible. And to date as far as I know there aren't any viruses that do this. I imagine if they do exist they are highly targeted payloads that attack specific companies. If the problem was widespread many organizations would report problems and an effort would be made to prevent infection. Although it would most likely be hard.
I agree. This Life Partner and Significant Other stuff is junk. Man.
You don't really delete user mail do you? If you do your playing with fire.
I got a good laugh out of this. Its funny. (BTW That isn't a real policy people).

Exactly. People you need to read before posting. Geez.

Care to post your stylesheets? I have been looking for something like this.

What is this wife/friends thing you speak of? :)
And your right about the small form factor adding a lot to the cost of the case.
Ah but you have a sense of humor and that is what matters :) Just need to relax a bit more and think before typing/speaking.

Why was this modded funny? Its a very serious view of what Google does. How they operate. No I am not trolling. I am simply being realistic.

Incremental backups don't work for us. For a wide variety of reasons.
