I'm no pilot, nor flight-tech, so please correct me if I'm wrong, but modern passenger and cargo planes is capable of automatic take off, course corrections and landing, right? In my eyes, this is a good time to start discussing taking the human factor out of flying? Let the planes fly themself from takeoff to landing and keep the pilots along only as backup/supervisors, and only until peoples paranoia for autopilots has gone away. At least, start with the cargoplanes and test until deemed safe and then move to the rest.
The rats might already be leaving the ship.
They have at least started to pack. Whitch this story might be a proof of. (This story has probably been posted at/. before.)
One thing is that m$ product can't handle big things like Hotmail. But security issues as this is more up to the programmers and the human part of it than what platform it's running on.
So even Sun servers with a lame setup is even worse than a NT machine witch is properly setup.
But most ppl already know the programmers of m$, and what they are capable of, so it's no surprise
I read in a swedish newspaper (www.aftonbladet.se) that HU will hack Hotamail again today. Aftonbladet writes that microsoft only has secrured one of the 6 servers witch don't check the passwords, and that they gonna "crack" another one today. I'm looking forward to this......
(If only ppl could learn the difference of HA/CRA -ckers) To be continued i recon.......
