  1. hah! on D&D Blamed For Stabbing Deaths · · Score: 1

    Scenario, a D&D stabbing:

You roll a 7 which selects the Orc Edge Silver Death Dagger.

You then roll a 13 determing the entry wound to be in the upper calf of your victims left leg.

Finally you roll a 20 which means the wound will be all 11 inches of the blade.

Wait.... where'd your victim go? oh no they RAN AWAY while you were rolling dice. ;_; And we had 6 more injuries to make...

  2. all i'm left to say is *meh* on Editorial: On the SpikeTV Video Game Awards · · Score: 1

First off, as it's already been said, this show was on SpikeTV, a station notorious for calling itself "TV for Men" (i.e. Playboy Channel #999) so gansta rap, tastelessness and bunny suits are the norm. The ONLY good program i ever saw on SpikeTV was Xtreme Challenge which was not created by American men (go figure). Second, it's an awards show. The games which trully deserve to be "honored" won't be. It's common knowledge that award shows are based on sales and popularity and NOT actual artistic value, creation time, effort or talent. Look, if Eminem can be awarded the same trophy owned by Danny Elfman and Hans Zimmerman the shows are obviously biased. Granted, i don't HATE 8 Mile but i can guarantee there were atleast ten more deserving films released that year. Lastly, as much as i hate to admit it, the majority of "gamers" today are young boys (15-24) who have grown up in the modern society of "gansta wannabes" and "hos". The rest of us must wallow through the shelves of crap released to the MASS market and feed on what little bit of good gaming is still out there. And yes there IS still a plethora of GOOD gaming left in the world. And there is still a market for the gamer who doesn'r care if it's "trendy" or "bitchin". If you want a game that wins awards then you aren't playing for the right reasons. They're supposed to entertain you. Look for that, and you'll never be disappointed again.

  4. ugh, how obnoxious and needy can you get? on Gaming vs Relationships · · Score: 1

look, my bf and i are both gamers. and so are almost ALL of my friends. in fact, i can't stand people who hate games so much that they simply refuse to play them or, even worse, blame them for everything wrong with society. women (and men) who can't stand to let their mates have "alone time" need to develop lives of their own. they aren't "abandoning" you for the games, they just want to do something which they enjoy. some chicks like getting their hair done and shopping for 3 hours (yawn!) and some guys like watching espn for 3 days straight (omg, international extreme poker on dogsleds!). the rest of us like reading books and playing games. either find someone you're actually compatible with or stop bitching about it. you chose this relationship and you have the freedom to leave it at anytime, moron. btw, to the idiot who set an ultimatum for her bf (ps2 or me), wrong move. there's this word you should learn called "compromise". it's what you do in REAL relationships.
