The electrolyse is very inefficient, you have to put in more energy to create it then the hydrogen will provide. To create electricity there are multiple sources:
natural energy (solar, wind, etc)
nuclear
fossil fuels (eg. oil)
The first option is not used a lot at this time because is does not create enough energy to be profitable. Nuclear energy may be the real answer for the near future but as we all know there is a lot of international debate about it's safety. And then we get to the last one, our primary electricity sources of this time: oil and gas.
Initially, the cost of the flights will be too high for most people to afford. However, within 10 to 12 years, suborbital spaceflight would be a real option, Rutan said.
I think they need to find a better way of launching those things into space. Because the amount of fuel they require now is unbelievable and I don't believe the oil price will drop within 10 years.
Not so long ago there was a discussion on the development mailing-list about dselect. There are still many people using it on a daily bases and don't want it changed or removed. http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2004/11/msg00 629.html
This 'copyright tax' is meant exactly for the kind of use you just described. A personal copy of a CD for in the car and as mp3's on your iPod and computer.
But it is very hard to draw a line. You correctly stated that when I copy a piece of art with a pencil it will (most likely) not be like the original. But you do say that an mp3 version of a song is the same, but there is loss in quality there also.
Here in the Netherlands we have a right to make a "home copy" for personal or educational use. It is because of that right we have to pay 'copyright tax' on media. I think this allso applies in Germany but of that I'm not sure. Stichting Thuiskopie (dutch)
When developing a website you have to look at 2 "standards". The one from the W3C and the hacks you need to do, to make the site display correct in the latest IE.
And i'm not saying anything about PNG rendering.
It will probably be located in Antarctica because that's where the hole is located.

All those anti-spyware software complain about those 'id cookies'. I wonder if I can get a $1000 dollar for each of those.
But in there are indeed cases where it would not be such a bad idea.
Just in... Thanks to all this new Big(TM) technology Longhorn will be released next month!

I could use a pencil to 'copy' a piece of art. And there should also be a copyright levy on the human voice for the ability to sing along with a song.
Well you can watch TV together with other people. And you can for example talk about yesterdays tv show.
Oh no does this mean we are all slowly turning into slashdot zombies?
