So my tomcat was scratching around in the catbox over by the storage bay, and now it's just a big cloud of clay dust. It's says it's clumping litter on the box, but it's just not working. "Just pee in your suit" I told him.
But it's a self-driving car. You aren't deciding about the timing of the turn, and the car is already well-aware of the rogue vehicle coming up on the left (and has probably alerted The Authorities about it).
I started reading the title and thought that it might be an article about Prince or BB King. ------------------ "They dug up the whole street. But it was just, like dirt and stuff underneath."
Prepayment seems like the obvious solution here, but besides that, I'm curious as to why the government got involved in this in the first place. Is there a law against private cameras? We have gas station cameras here in Canada but they are run by the stations themselves, as it is in their best interests to have a record in case of gas-n-dash types. If the Brits were using private cameras, then this mission creep would not be an issue. I would worry that all sorts of government agencies would want to pile on, and before long, you won't be able to buy gas if you have an overdue library book. (Maybe that's already been done.)
Thank you for your response. You appear to be a driven individual and you are welcome to be proud of your achievements. You are also welcome to foster these attitudes in your children. It's a bit of a stretch to apply your libertarian ideals to all employers, though. Who's going to mop the floors? How much will a Big Mac cost if we have to pay Harvard MBA salaries to everyone? Maybe not the best examples, but you get the idea. Or did you only mean "your" employer? Or IT employers? Help me out here, Mr A/C - your employment model intrigues me.

What a pompous ass thing to say. If/when you get out of mom's basement and into the real world, you may see that many jobs/careers are perfectly suited for trade school graduates. Like maybe, umm, trades? Technicians? It doesn't take a rocket scientist.. etc.
Once again, the form versus function debate... Apparently, there are some out there who feel that words alone are not enough; they need a particular font to convey emotion or a particular feel. I just hope that any browser that supports this makes it optional, and I can turn off the downloading altogether. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but it sounds like it's a great candidate for some security exploits.
It's a great idea but unfortunately, reality interferes.
For whatever reason, people respond to personality and charisma in the persuasive arts (politicians, lawyers, used car salesmen and their ilk). An engineer may or may not have these attributes (not necessarily a skill) and may or may not get elected. Teachers may have the think-on-your-feet and public speaking attributes, but may get bogged down in actually wanting to "educate the masses", as opposed to telling people what they want to hear.
Accountants and engineers do get elected, but not as often as smooth-talking confidence men.

We've been stealing the unique output of this "star", and now the cows are coming home to roost. We've been warned about this by our friendly RIAA (Radiating Industry Association of All) - if we keep illegally taking this stuff and not supporting the stars, eventually they will stop producing.
If making music, tv, movies, books, photso or any other content no longer become profitable then people will just stop creating it.
You may be surprised, but many people will continue to create regardless of profit motive. Something to do with "the nature of the true artist" or something. I, for one, am looking forward to this turn of events, as maybe some of the gold-diggers will take their shovels elsewhere.

There you go, pouring cold water (or milk) all over our Freedom to enjoy news stories about relevant cereal movements. You sir are a ... cereal killer.

Look, we're talking about guys that can turn water into wine. I'm sure that other stuff would be easy enough for them, even the big microwave oven.
You and your book learnin'.

Yup. Here all week.
Thank you for your reply.
You are correct, of course, in an upstanding and legitimate world.
But please consider:
What font do you think Enron used for their Annual Reports? What about AIG?
I know - it's not the fonts fault that it gets used. But like those examples you gave, it lends an air of credibility to whatever it portrays.
Maybe the large bailed-out American companies should be compelled to use some sort of 5-year-old-with-Crayon font for the next 10 years.
Bonus car analogy angle:
A font created with a car - gives a whole new meaning to 'printer driver':
