if your kids interact with you or your wife or any other adults or peers, watch tv, read books, etc. then they are subject to socialization, which is a very passive cultural force. gender roles are rarely enforced actively.

30s chicks are way, way hornier and sexually uninhibited than 20s chicks.
i could see how septuagenarians might be a little more sexually expressive than octogenarians, but thinking about either in that context really grosses me out.
i'm 21, and i get asked that (and ask it in response) a lot. the record label i work for, and all the bands on it have a myspace as well. it's a quick and easy way to share pictures and stay connected with friends imo. like any other large social network, there will be people you are interested in and relate to and people whom you don't want much to do with. but to dismiss anyone who uses myspace as below you is a tad bit elitist.
this is just me, but in my educational psychology class there was like a 10 to 1 ratio of girls to guys and my TA was smokin hot too. but then in my engineering-related classes it was like the exact opposite. and while i don't need tons of girls in most of my classes to enjoy them, i do find a more gender-balanced class to be a more enjoyable learning environment. plus, studying with some cute girls is a lot funner than studying with a bunch of sweaty dungeon masters.
it's 'cause the man-has-no-effect camp are otherwise known as "assholes". they're the same people that after being cornered with facts and reason simply retort "well, i don't care because it won't effect me in my lifetime."
do you know the specific limit of water that your body can hold? she didn't drink more water than all the other contestants so how was she to know that what others drank was going to kill her?
driving a massive fast moving vehicle always incurs a serious risk--so people who drive cars and die in accidents were also killed by their own stupidity.
exactly. would it still have been called stupidity if it was a coffee drinking contest? the radio contest was asking contestants to push physical limits that have fatal consequences when exceeded. someone at the radio station should have seen this as a potential risk and made precautions for it at the very least. personally i think the radio station was irresponsible for conducting this kind of contest, especially when you look at the type of person the victim was and her motivation.
You've lost me. First you bring up Venezuela out of the blue without specifying any specific detriments of Hugo Chavez's progressive government, then you've once again equivocated federalism with socialism. Nationalizing infrastructure does not prevent devolution of government. And it's funny that you should bring up Venezuela since Chavez's nationalization of a lot of previously unused land owned by the rich and creating local farming co-ops for poor communities out of them has been praised as a huge success.
I think you're confused. Nationalizing infrastructure doesn't necessarily mean federalism. It simply means adopting a more socialist government. Local utilities, healthcare systems, law enforcement, education institutions could still be run through a decentralized structure though they get federal funding. Correctly managed, this kind of system has proven to work quite well.
It has nothing to do with the price of human life being low. It has to do with the innate inefficiencies of a large bureaucracy. We have the same problem in the U.S. The problem isn't as devastating here because a lot of societal infrastructure isn't nationalized (not necessarily a good thing though). The best way to combat these problems is through decentralization of power.
We're having more problems because of it than Europe is. I don't think Europeans really give a shit what units we use. It's not a big deal for them to have to calculate the units in metric when they read something in the news that's in imperial units. Whereas we've had costly engineering disasters because of it. Besides, metric is a lot more consistant and makes more sense. Ever try doing physics in imperial units?
Most of slashdot's trolls are rooted in a misunderstanding of what the article says...
an island out in international waters doesn't have to be considered a country for it to be outside of the jurisdiction of other countries. why do you think offshore businesses operate in international waters? if GB doesn't consider it part of GB, and they're the ones selling it then what is the problem?
why? it's the same as how most guys prefer a girl with smooth legs (whether because they shaved or because they naturally have smooth legs) over hairy legs. the texture is just more tactilely pleasing. there may be no objective reason for it, but this preference seems to be a cultural norm in our society, and most girls i know shave their legs.
weren't episodes 1-3 written before 4-6? i don't think storytelling is the problem. i think the problem was anakin skywalker and jar-jar binks. in all other respects, the newer movies were decent. firstly, a story centered around a little kid is naturally not as interesting (for most 16+ audiences) as an older character--which is why episode I, while a decent movie, doesn't live up to episode IV-VI. And then there's that douchebag who plays anakin in episodes I & II. He's just a shitty actor. I mean, c'mon, Natalie Portman, Samuel L. Jackson, and Ewan McGregor were all in the cast, and they hire a lamo for the leading role. Throw in Jar-jar binks and the whole franchise is ruined forever...
You know... I thought it was pretty cool at first when I dated this chick who worked at a porn shop and would bring home 3 new titles each week, but then I realized that porno isn't really all that exciting when you're actually getting laid. We'd still watch them for shits and giggles but not really during intimate moments (except for one time, and that time neither of us really watched the dvd, so it was just unnecessary noise in the background). I'd much rather watch a normal movie with a girl than a porn.
People still spend a lot of money on porn though. I seriously had no idea how lucrative an industry it was until about a year ago when i started seeing this chick working at the local porn shop. I mean, I was amazed at how many people still rent/buy movies, so I was even more suprised at how fast they were able to move adult DVDs that they retail at $40~80 typically.

Like I've said before, that's what they shoulda done for anakin skywalker in episodes II and III.
I thought Ewan McGregor was great. They shoulda done Anakin in CG like they did with Yoda though...

45 minutes though? I mean, I enjoy going down on a girl, but shit my jaw gets sore after like 10 minutes...
I wouldn't call them actresses...
Or just find better pornos.
whoever modded this flamebait needs to get a sense of humor.
just don't be spun when you write that shuttle life-support system code, that's all... ;-)
As far as I'm concerned, the largest space disaster to date is still Leprechaun 4.
