A couple of months ago CBS's 60 minutes featured a 40 minute story on Google. The interviewer (the lady with short hair) asked about Google's ambitions, and used an Ebay-like service as an example of a service Google might introduce. Google's rep said something to the effect of "if that were brought up at one of our meetings, the reaction would be 'why, Ebay does a great job.'" The idea being that Google focuses its resources on more wanting industries.
Do you think this was just a ploy to devert attention, or what?
From the article:
"Stated simply, the Novikov consistency principle says that if an event exists that could give rise to a paradox, then the probability of that event happening is zero."
So it was impossible for the chicken to lay the egg AND the other way around?
This kind of comment scares me, if the MPAA is able to infiltrate the common conciousness to the extent that you need to consider them before downloading anything then... jeez, this just makes me depressed.
The concept is that you pay 5 bucks per month. that would be 1 person*(# of months spent downloading, say, 36)*5 dollars per month=$180. If you WERE to use this formula for 60 years, that would still only be $3600.
Out of honest curiosity, at what do they point such a strong laser? My movie-fed ignorance has me imagining the beam burning through walls.
No, Ajax is the name of my cat.
You don't own a computer yet? Say...

If you send that link to someone in AIM, it will substitute thier screenname for [%n]. Saves a bit of effort.
Time. As in liftoff time. Before the liftoff, the clock regesters as "T minus ..." after liftoff it regesters as "T plus..."

oops, you win.
er, how do you know that? It hasn't been anounced yet.

Did anyone really expect the Revolution to run on anything else? I wonder what kind of power a modern cartridge has.
