My company used to block it too until I asked them to unblock it. They were blocking suck.com for awhile too. In fact, about a year ago, our prude proxy was blocking victoriassecret.com for 'sex' before they had even fully launched thier site, and that brand is one of our competitors.
Just my gripes about companies stupidly filtering the web.
Something to do with the minerals and other microscopic junk in there. I think it may also depend on whether it is distilled or what the ratio of parts per million is. While water in its molecular form may be pure, it still has a lot of other stuff in it after it falls out of the clouds...
I saw some ad on tv just recently which I think is for a sports channel or something sports-related but anyway, the gist of it is, a couple is in a store looking for the perfect color paint, which of course leads you to believe you are watching a commercial about paint. But no. When they find the right shade they've been seeking, the final shot of the ad shows them at a football game or something with thier faces painted the colors of thier teams.
And at the bottom of the screen in fine print: "Do not paint your face with house paint."
I got my domain when i saw that it had gone on hold, so i waited and waited and the minute it became available i snatched it up. This was a couple years ago; i reckon most four-letter common english word domains have been grabbed by those domain clearinghouses.
every once in awhile i get email from clueless people with aol addresses asking for a subscription to jane magazine.
not anymore. slashdot.com goes to some other dum site now.
I heard they axed the musical production numbers from the oscars this year. good riddance.
Hardware Wars. Short film, classic. Circa 1979?
"You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll kiss three bucks goodbye!"
i think maybe it's also a river or something.
reminds me of one of those fake corporations you see on Saturday Night Live, like Globex.
Inari is one of my favorite kinds of sushi!

Melody Maker.
of course that doesn't even begin to account for American 'music' magazines...
I've always liked names that fit with the domain name best for some reason.
like calamity.jane.org for my box at home.
This, coming from a guy named "Joe."

Greetings, programs!
Does anyone know if this is referred to internally as the Blue Screen of Death by MS employees? Maybe unofficially?
Just wondering.
Actually sometimes water can go 'stale.'

Or possibly Kyle Maclachlan as Agent Cooper.

I guess that's what search engines are for.
Didn't someone else comment about using
domains as a phone book?
