That is definitely legit. But you're really assuming a problem X has been solved already by someone. What do you do if the problem X has not been solved? Are you just going to be the masochist? Or will you wait for somebody to take that step?
Your point is definitely valid. However, if you're going to sit here and tell me that you would open up and start walking through Linux kernel rather then doing a few googling about the problem you're facing with Windows than I am going to go ahead and call you a masochist. Or no I will just say you have a lot of time on your hands.
That's just my 2 cents.
Maybe its just me that I am new to Visual Studio. But having done a lot of work with Eclipse/MyEclipse before I can not say Visual Studio is all that great.
But again maybe its just me and my lack of knowledge in Visual Studio.
I don't think it's about leopard cheaper than Vista. It's about laptop pc costing less than macbook. Why? Because of the OS that macbook runs. Can you run Leopard on the PC? Absolutely. Is the hardware on macbook more suited to the Leopard. Absolutely. Is the hardware on the PC a good suite for Leopard OS - I can't answer that question.
That was my point. I hope it makes sense.
Man someone suggests a mac gets modded up and a guy pointing out a flaw gets modded down. Of all the groups in/. Mac fangirls are the WORST at following the rules. There is no -1 disagree. I hate how things get slanted since maccies cant follow that.
That said I find it hilarious that you compared it to the macbook pro. So I think you should really go compare them.

First thing you will notice is that the most expensive t61 starts at around 900$ cheaper than the cheapest macbook (so its not a viable alternative). Next when you customize the lenovo so that it has the same specs as the macbook you are still 700$ cheaper than the mac. And that comes with vista which you will otherwise have to pay for.
So please PLEASE at least read the stats and do a quick comparison before you speak. A product being 50% more expensive for the same specs is an EMBARRASSMENT. Don't brag about it.
This post will get modded flamebait by a horde of angry mac users. Hopefully the message reaches atleast a few people. It seems to me that the fact that macbooks cost more is because of the low percentage of bugs in Leopard or whatever it is running compared to percentage of bugs in Vista.
Maybe I am wrong. But that's my idea.
Is different. No windows. For a comparison, use an windows installer on a ubuntu machine and set up dual boot. Is it even possible?
If it doesn't set up automatically though, grub config for any bootable partition:
rootnoverify ([refer to partition here])
chainloader +1 Its not possible - I don't think it is. I mean there could always be a hack right. Anyway I have about 4 hard drives in my system. I think only one of them is FAT32 the rest are NTFS. One of the hard drives I partioned into two. One partition being Vista (go ahead make fun of me) and the other being latest Ubuntu 8.04 beta. So lets just put it this way. Installation of Ubuntu erased some stuff on my windows partition that I couldn't even boot windows. I tried many different combinations, well I actually tried ALL combinations I am talking about the (hdx, y) where x and y are ints. You know this. It said it was missing an NTLDR. So I am thinking that something got screwed with my installation of Ubuntu. By the way that didn't happen with other installations of previous Ubuntu 7.10. I know what you're going to say - thats it my fault for beta testing the software. And I am not complaining, I am just saying that the ease of use factor IS NOT EXACTLY THERE 100%. Even with the non beta Ubuntu the 7.10 - I would still have to fiddle around with grub to boot correctly. Is that ease of use?
If you can't manage to install Ubuntu, you deserve to run Windows.
Seriously, it's so easy these days.
Yeah, Those -1 trolls coming my way, I guess. But someone had to say it. It is easy to install Ubuntu. But dual booting is just a nuisance. I have spent many long nights trying to tell grub how to boot both Linux and Windows (not at the same time of course). Great times!! Can't think of anything else I could do POSSIBLY do with my time.
This is quiet interesting and, in fact, it seems like Comcast is right. Look at Verizon. They're essentially saying that they will HELP the P2P traffic. Not block it but 'gasp' HELP the P2P traffic. It seems like Comcast is taking the same direction. Anyway correct me I am wrong please.
I am not supporting that. But now that you brought it up maybe they fucking should. Maybe there would be less child molesters! Maybe if they had installed cameras in Virginia Tech dorm the shooting wouldn't' have ever happened.
Because until they spy they can't know right? I am not defending them but it does make sense. I totally agree they shouldn't know my sexual life but I think they should probably know if I am talking to a terrorist one a phone.
But you're missing the point. I am pretty sure they don't care about that stuff, right I don't know but why do you think they would care? The whole point in spying is to weed out the bad guys right? They care about other details.
Why is this an issue in the first place? It seems to me that this really brings a new view of education or getting a degree. Maybe this process should be re-thinked.
Point one: So if I text my friend on a cell phone if he/she knows how to do/approach a problem, does that mean school now should get access to my phone. How far is this going to go? But this brings point two.
What is the meaning of this anyway. It is obviously understood that the school doesn't want to give out the degrees to the WRONG people. That said, what would it hurt to give a degree to the WRONG people. What would the person do with a degree. Yes they can apply for a job, but the interview still holds, the technical questions still hold. And besides if you do good on the interview you still have 6 months prior to the review to do good. If an employee doesn't know the technology he probably wouldn't last those 6 months, again this depends on the employer right. This brings to another point. At a work place you learn much more than in school and with the years of experience being accumulated you will probably not have a problem finding a job. At this point does having a degree really matter. What value does it bring?
Just my two cents.
I understand catching the terrorists is a must, however, if average joe didn't do anything bad, he got nothing to hide, thus it should not be a problem.
Is the site Java based? Dump that trash, because only bitches use Java. Is the web application written with Struts framework and Java really that bad. What do you have against this. Please explain.
Thanks
Why would he have two? Isn't one enough?
Hey I thought porn was a good thing!!

How do you ping your house?

Ok that doesn't mean anything. Your config might be different than mine.
What is this a slow news day or something. I saw this at least 3 hours ago.

Who says I do?

When you say 'many people' who does that include? It sure doesn't include me.
Does the sword run Linux?

Is this a bug or a feature? Are there any security concerns in doing something like this.
