    No, convection and conduction are proportional to the temperature difference, radiation is proportional to the difference of the 4th power of the temperature, but I wouldn't rely only on radiation to cool my CPU...

    No, c is the maximum speed an object can travel in space-time. It also happens to be the only speed a massless object cah have.

    Actually, the real thing is E^2=m^2c^4+p^2c^2. With p=mv/sqrt(1-v^2/c^2). So E=mc^2 is only true for a resting object.

    There's a good book here about relativity (by Einstein)

    In our less religious times we also have kids who decide to satisfy problems at school by shooting their classmates.

    That may be the case in the US, but not in, say France, which is IMO less religious than the US.

    Gays and lesbians are no more promiscuous than other people. And about the sinfulness of homosexuality, I don't see what's bad with being gay, again, that's not hurting anyone. Of course you will answer that God decided it's a sin so it's bad, but that doesn't make sense to me.

    So whose suffering has decreased? Yours? Overall the world is falling apart.

    The poverty has decreased in the world since a few decades, democracy seems to be spreading in middle east, there's no more famine in Europe/North America/other places I forgot. No, I think overall the world may not be in a good shape today, but I believe it's better than yesterday and it will be better tomorrow.

    Another possibility: you can use a PC emulator if you don't want to make a PCI card, as it is certainly not easy to create one, and it works even in the case where you have to acquire a license to get the specs of the bus.

    I can tell you with absolute certainty that Windows 2003 describes itself as NT 5.2 when it boots.

    I know that, I've seen that in the about box of XP x64 on my brother's computer, I didn't try it myself because my dumb BIOS disables the local APIC, and the 64 bit version doesn't install without it. And if it works in the final release, I hope Asus will release 64 bit drivers for my laptop.

    Windows 2003, however, Microsoft actually released as NT 5.2 (compared to XP as NT 5.1, and Win2k as NT 5.0)

    Actually the 32 bits version of Windows XP is NT 5.1, the 64 bits version is NT 5.2.
