    Are you serious? Why in the hell should he have to -- IT'S HIS NAME. It's on his birth certificate, his Social Security card, his drivers license.

    So is my name, but somehow someone with the same full name I have beat me to a gmail address with my name on it. Am I crying about it? Am I yelling BLOODY CAPITALIZED MURDER? No, I got over it. I moved on. I got a slightly different email address. And I'm fine now.

    So you suggest he takes herman.libcrapz@verizon.com instead ?

    Or, since chickens are descended from dinosaurs, maybe the cumulative effect of generations of genetic pressure could cause latent DNA to awaken, so that chickens develop more dinosaur-like traits, reverting to more primordial forms.

    I, for one welcome our new chickenosaur overlords.

    AFAIK, there is no NAT in IPv6 (and Wanadoo is testing IPv6 now and you can have a /48 block). IPv6 addresses contain your MAC address for link-local, site-local and global addresses (although if a certain bit is not set, the host part of the address is not your MAC address). And putting your MAC address in your IP address makes sense as you have 8 bytes for the host, you can put your MAC address and you don't need ARP.

    Still a photon has no mass so i doubt if it could transfer it's momentum to another object.

    In special relativity, you don't need to have a mass to have momentum. A photon's momentum is h*nu/c, where nu is the frequency of the photon, h is Planck's constant and c is the speed of light.

    Aim it towards the sun if it makes you feel better.

    If you do that, it will not continue on a straight line to the sun, it will stay in sun orbit. To dispose it in sun, you would have to lower the perihelion and to do that, you have to shoot your waste in the direction opposed to Earth velocity, fast enough to have it to go in the sun's atmosphere.

    There's also another possibility : aim it in the direction velocity to the sun's escape velocity, I don't know which option requires the least deltaV...

    No : $100 is just the card, you have to provide the memory, the battery only last 16 hours, and the benchmarks are not that impressive.

    And of course, ham radio operators are licenced, and can use transmitters in the 2.4 gHz band, up to 1500 watts (or 1 or 100 watts if it's spread spectrum like WiFi), if they follow all the ham radio rules.

    1500 watts? It's called a micro wave oven... I guess you mean milliwatts...

    Whats the advantage to a laptop for study? Are you intending them to use it in class?
    Actually, I do. It can be useful when I'm presenting a slideshow or during an exam when I can bring documents that happen to be (only) on my laptop.
