With this little experiment in democracy working out as a dismal failure, they might as well go back to monarchy. Oh wait, they already are a monarchy!
Seattle is probably the 3rd most expensive city in the US to live in, after San Francisco and New York. Seems like it would make more sense to house homeless someplace cheaper to live, where they could maybe have gardens.
I leave my computer always on. However, my audiophile friend needs to wait 15 minutes for his tube amp to warm up every time he listens to music... now THAT'S convenient! He has several thousand vinyl albums, but mostly listens to CDs these days.
Sure, I want to listen to a recording media that degrades every time you use it! My audiophile friend has high-end electrostatic speakers driven by a tube-based 500W amplifier, high end phonograph and oversampling CD player... and the CDs sound better.
My favorite is the current batch of phonographs with USB connectors... as in, you know that's converting the analog signal to digital, then your amplifier is converting it back to analog, right? So that's better than a digital recording exactly how?
I would assume the Church of All Worlds was inspired by Stranger in a Strange Land. Wouldn't be the first religion based on Science Fiction -- see Church of Scientology.
After the schism, many thousands of lives were lost fighting for Truth. The Pinks believed the Invisible Unicorn was actually pink, while the Whites believed the Invisible Unicorn was actually white. Can't we all just get along?
So, claiming membership in the Native American Church gives prisoners the right to take peyote, but claiming membership in the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster doesn't give one the right to get together once a week and talk about pasta?
Since the Book of Mormon was based on a work of fiction called "The Manuscript Story" by Solomon Spaulding, that means Mormonism isn't a real religion either, right? The Bible says the sun stopped in the sky for several hours... that's clearly fiction. Sounds like a "true Scotsman" argument to me... how to you tell a "reall" religion?
Ok, Richard Burr and Dianne Feinstein, explain to me how to insert a back door into a one-time pad encryption system!
(One-time pad (OTP), also called Vernam-cipher or the perfect cipher, is a crypto algorithm where plaintext is combined with a random key. It is the only existing mathematically unbreakable encryption.)
Won't forcing all US-made encryption software to include backdoors simply force all encryption software developers overseas??? Any company that wants to remain in the US will have to contract it's encryption out to a non-US company. Thanks, DiFI, for sending my job offshore!
Kent State shootings were done by National Guardsmen, not campus police. They were called in by the governor from live-fire training exercises, and apparently didn't think to switch to non-lethal ammo. In general, protester try to provoke "the man" into over-reacting, in order to make themselves right about how brutal and oppressive "the man" is. Both sides could learn from the principle "That which you resist, persists". In other words, the best way to deal with protesters is to ignore then until they go away. "Protesters are sitting on the sidewalk in the quad!" Who are they harming, other than themselves? Really, people can't walk around them?
Who better to cover up the rape and assault cases that would cast the universities in a negative light than their own police force? Unlike most small towns, I'm fairly certain zero campus police forces publish their police blotter in the daily paper or on the web!
How many people out there have read an entire book by searching for every page on Google?
No, it was LEGALLY easier to get the carriers to give them permission, otherwise they would be subject to arrest with they published their findings.

Could just be doing it for good publicity, they took a beating in the PR category last year.
Good luck getting them out of there when you're ready to repurpose the property.
Would is sound better with earplugs?

What part of the Establishment Clause are you not clear on?

By the way, unbreakable encryption has been around since 1882! Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...
Even worse, suppose you use one-time pad encryption, and they can't prove who has the pad?
Can I start my letter with the phrase, "Diane, you ignorant slut!" ???
Every past and present Lucent and HP employee agrees with you!

Police officers are tiny; there little legs are far to short to step over people sitting on the ground!
