...has to do with no reliant on existing financial systems and currency, right? Just 'generate the money' and start using it, don't go back and forth then this will be an non-issue... right?
It's really not that... a private company does not have obligation to provide a unfiltered/non-curated/fair search engine. It's like Fox News website - that's the "best information" for you, they think.
But like the bus system, there should be 'pricing' system that can make it work for all. I.e. taxi operators makes more (drive more ppl per trip), there's increase in wait time for people but the cost should be cheaper than before, and for people who doesn't want to share, well, higher price.
There aren't a lot of content that's flowed/wanted between the 2 countries - why bother. Like Canadian interests of Korean drama, or Korean appetite for Tie Domi doing figure skating.
Yeah seriously wtf. Streaming does cost some incremental $$$ so NBC serves paid subscribers only. OTA is there... why not? Peace/Global event/Olympic movement blah blah blah has nothing to do with this. Who has the obligation to provide everybody in the world the broadcast so we can watch and sit in our couch and eat pop corn? Or maybe IOC needs to provide TV sets for 3rd world countries?
Funny you said that because I'd suspect a lot of/. readers reads the summary on/. main page, then go directly to comments page without RTFA. I'm one of them probably 80% of the time, and there's a reason for extensive use of "RTFA" here:)
"they could rake in just as much cash as they currently do through TV downloads and disc sales" - come on... capitalism asks for "getting as much money as possible", not "making the same money as before".
Similar to other $B folks it goes to their own foundation so they can still control that money to drive whatever cause they wish. In this case it sounds like they just print more share for it..? Or FB as a whole provide that share... i.e. all FB shareholders chip it for Mr. Zuckerberg to play?
Come on... how much is a chip anyway, just a few grains of sand?
Whoa... it is THAT Jenny McCarthy!? So basically, there are moms and dads in US that listen to a ex-porn star for parenting and medical advice?
Yeah right. Anyone who has a laptop, can read the web for code samples and post on forums?
Isn't that an actual good idea? Set up TWO boxes - one with Mint and one with Windows 8.1 Tile start. Ask them which one they prefer :)
...what we need more is connectivity and reliability.

Again, I'd refer you to the Fox News example :)

Really.
Wait a minute - who's the "we" that extinguish them?
are like that for a while..... That's how it gave me virus.

You're all that - it correlated to your 5 digit membership :)
.
Good so leave those guys alone and you go back to your PC.

Let me introduce you the new Sync with Tiles

RTFA --- this is the identity and everything about slashdot.

Coffee-flavored hair? I don't care, just plug this thing on my scalp!
Freezing rain is a problem for everywhere... some sand and salt can melt them but it's still dangerous as hell.
"they could rake in just as much cash as they currently do through TV downloads and disc sales" - come on... capitalism asks for "getting as much money as possible", not "making the same money as before".
There's no need to build arm unless, some other bigger nation actually does come in and "liberate" your country (and your resources).

Windows NT... are you serious?
