Um, no? Can you even begin to imagine the amount of resources they'd need to test every popular website on earth with their antivirus? And then there's the expectation that if they have to test every popular website, the first time it mistakenly flags an unpopular one someone will sue because their site wasn't tested.
I mean, fuck... other antiviruses have flagged parts of the goddamned operating system as malware without being caught in testing, and you expect then (and only them, no doubt) to make sure that no "popular" websites ever get mistakenly flagged?
Seriously, your conspiracy theories make you sound like a crackpot.
Yeah, I get the feeling it's hopping around a lot. When I checked, it was marked as being in Switzerland, hosted by Private Layer Inc (which come to think of it is probably someone's private label offering - possibly even Rackspace)
I don't know why, but neither Microsoft nor Sony seem to consider the Wii (or anything Nintendo makes) as competition. I guess they just see Nintendo's hardware (Wii, DS) as serving a different target consumer, which I can sort of agree with - every Wii owner I know also has either a PS3 or an Xbox 360.
Amazon makes Kindles for one reason - to sell Kindle books. If there's no chance of selling Kindle books, then there's no reason for Amazon to be interested. So they wont be willing to try. In fact, they wont be willing to talk to you. Your idea is the most ill-thought out idea I've seen in a long time.
There are still bugs I have to play around daily. One of them required me to download a bunch of audio files from some unofficial source so that a dialog scene would work and I could continue in the game (some dude held up in the theive's guild wouldn't open the door until he completed his dialog).
That bug doesn't exist if you actually buy the fucking game you cheap bastard.
Because if Valve becomes a first party 'console' manufacturer, they lose 2 entire platforms on which they can publish their games? (By which I mean PS3 and Xbox 360 - ever seen a Sony first party game on Xbox, or a Microsoft first party game on PS3? Me neither).
because currently you need to have nothing short of a best seller with a diamond encrusted proven track record before Microsoft will even look in your general direction
Or something they can use to hammer Kinect at more people. Those get their attention too.
Actually, the server's hosted by Private Layer in Switzerland. But I still don't think this is actually seized by SOCA at all (especially since SOCA would have no jurisdiction to seize a domain held by Godaddy, an American company).
Maybe so, but then you face the problem that all transactions can be clawed back - how would you as a disinterested third party business feel if you had $100,000 clawed back off you because some company that went bust bought servers off you two and a half years ago? The system is hell on smaller suppliers.
You mean your country can't? Here in NZ, the Tax Department can unwind up to three years of transactions for a company and claw back any money it's paid for any reason over that time. I think it only applies to pay the tax though.

You should loosen your tin foil hat. I think it's constricting blood flow to your brain.
Greece is paying through the nose and allowing themselves to be watched, so I would disagree with that.

You miss the point. I like Skyrim. Even pumped in entirely too many hours. It's just incredibly fucking buggy.
Shit, we DO? Where?!?!?
So basically. it won't happen then?

Least buggy Microsoft product ever.

Your argument is invalid.
Why would you (buffering) watch Youtube (buffering) from your (buffering) sofa?
(Also, imagine this post HUGELY pixelated. Like 1cm squares).
Imagine a world of no more DRM.
I just did. It was quite boring, because there was nothing but indie games in it.

I'm pretty sure Skyrim damages everyone's reputation.
They still haven't even filed the request to do so. And they have only until March 3 to do that.

No, there wasn't. There was a recent case of a guy and a girl being sent back for tweeting that they would destroy America though.
Because getting a senior Microsoft admin costs just as much as a senior Linux admin, contrary to popular belief.

More likely a $1.42 gift credit on Google Checkout or similar.

Not for long, come Q2 this year that becomes "Norton Secure" and links back to norton.com.
Internet Explorer can even be configured to demand CRL/OCSP verification, and fail the certificate if it fails.
Yeah, but I bet twitter's "fail whale" page servers are up 99.999% of the time...
