    The box model in IE7 is "what it should be", as long as you force standards-compliant mode using a doctype. If you leave the doctype off, and allow IE to use quirks mode, then you get what you deserve.

    With every release of Opera, it seems that more and more standards/specifications are supported. How valuable is a standard when it isn't supported by 100% (or even 50%) of the browsers, and how frustrating is it to write a specification knowing that you're at the browser vendors' mercy?

    (Yes, I know, copyright infringement isn't stealing. But you can't exactly blame people who are trying to make money for charging you for it! Torrents are always going to be cheaper. Even if blu-ray had cost $100 for the player and $1 for the disc, you could still make the same accusations.)

    Why the fade-in effect on the "n of m comments"-bar below the article ("article storylinks"), but not a fade-out effect on the "Posted by"-bar above the article("article details")?

    Not saying it would be better with 2 gradients. I just think it feels unbalanced right now.

    Oh, and I like it. Good job.

    Yes. There isn't a grey area on it either- it's basic math: cost of page copy + exception + 2 * (page table update) is greater than cost of page copy + page table update.

    There you're assuming that the page copy will be necessary. In cases where the W in COW does NOT occur, isn't COW much better?

    (Please don't mod me up. I have no idea what I'm talking about.)

    I'm actually impressed at how well the stylus works for this game.

    I have found that by holding the bottom corners of the DS in the palms of my hands, I can hold the DS in place pretty well. I use my right pinky to hook somewhere near the right shoulder button, and this leaves enough of my right hand to control the stylus.

    Ofcourse I haven't played any multiplayer games yet, where I will undoubtedly get slaughtered by people who have found a better configuration.

    Avoid SQL injection by not concatenating user input into your dynamic SQL queries. Use bind variables, and you avoid a lot of risks while still maintaining all the flexibility. As a bonus, you may end up with improved performance.

    Unless your DBMS doesn't support bind variables. In which case you may want to consider one that does. I hear PostgreSQL is nice.
