    I strongly agree. Our forefathers designed this country to be a Republic because the common man is simply too ignorant (see: incompetent) to correctly decide. Then again, many politicians are, too.

    Well, to aid in persistent issues, the OS can keep histories of files and you would be able to choose how much you wanted to delete. Honestly, I think this is a step in the right direction. There aren't very many brilliant programmers out there; but, if we can get the brilliant ones to do this, all of the mediocre programmers will become pretty good overnight.

    Yeah, but all of the programming tricks in the compiler and virtual machines are being used. And it's all been optimized. So, bad programmers start becoming good programmers. Assuming, of course, that good programmers made the subsystems.

    Pft, the idea that Macs are of decent quality is entirely subjective. I'd argue that I could (and have) put together much higher quality machines than Apple. And it doesn't even cost a premium. Where did all the OS X fanbois come from?

    Looking at your UID, I'm assuming you're one of the older (at least 30s) Slashdotters. You're probably incredibly used to incandescent lighting.
    On that note, incandescent lights don't produce full spectrum lighting (they're heavily lacking in the blue department).
    Though, I have seen many CFL bulbs that DO produce full spectrum lighting. Purportedly, they have the same color temperature as the sun. And I'm inclined to agree.
    The difference between the outside and the inside is pretty minimal, whereas the difference between incandescent and full spectrum CFL is very noticeable. Protip: everything looks blue when you enter the room full of full spectrum CFLs

    Tax the substances and use any funds from the taxes to fund rehabilitation facilities to make rehabilitation easier to obtain. Just make sure companies could still compete with street prices. Undercut the competition (dealers) and sales of the legal stuff will help society as a whole. Make problems work for you, not against you.
