Snakegrass, horsetail (equisetum) has used silica for over a hundred million years. But I'm sure these guys knew that.

- There is a risk of brain tumors from cellphone use;
- Telecom funded studies underestimate the risk of brain tumors, and;
- Children have larger risks than adults for brain tumors.

From the article (there's quite a bit more): "Using the PHP Network Weathermap plug-in for Cacti, you can easily create live network maps showing link utilization between network devices, complete with graphs that appear when you hover over a depiction of a network link. In many places where I've implemented Cacti, these maps wind up running 24x7 on 42-inch LCD monitors mounted high on the wall, providing the whole IT staff with at-a-glance updates on network utilization and link status."
Great - give all your users the password for the admin account. Have fun with the havoc that results from that with all the users who hardly can figure out right-click. Otherwise you have to run around all over the place helping install cameras or thumbdrives or other basic programs on that silly platform that is too stupid to recognize different thumbdrives without having to go through an install procedure. Or if it does, it can't figure out that you are using mapped network drives so it has to find another drive letter that isn't taken. Man I hate windows.
nothing wrong with a ferry. Look at all the people using them in Puget Sound daily. I've taken the Ketchikan ferry several times and nothing at all wrong with it. I've heard it will take even longer to drive to where the bridge would be built and get across than to take the danged ferry. Not having studied that claim, perhaps it is misinfo. - but I would like to see it refuted using fact.
sounds like you get it. I'm not as pure as I may have sounded - I read a couple political blogs and hence sometimes watch the Colbert and Stewart clips they link to since the 'real' news shows can't seem to be very honest or accurate. And of course I watch the occasional DVD or tape movie (my choice - not what I'm fed) once or twice a month.
For many folks, having a TV around makes it too easy to get sucked into mind numbing dribble which robs them of who they could be otherwise. I would like to see a movement away from it - then maybe we could all become a bit smarter.
It could be, but all the spam I'm seeing is from countries other than the US. I do get one or two spams from the US a week. This could be in part due to us using blacklists, and those lists being more effective at blocking US spam - I don't know. But I've been building an access list for our mail server and all the ip numbers are from places like Russia, China, Poland, Germany, France, etc. Since we don't do business in general with other countries I can block them - but I know this isn't a good solution. But it is all I got right now. And most all of it is these image spams - though not all.
Maybe these are zombied machines as well - but it just seems more like it is from the source spammers. Guess I have no reason to believe that.. heh.
A new poll shows Pres. Bush has gained in popularity. I feel my feet becoming disconnected from the ground - my head is spinning. How is any of this possible? Why are we so stupid?
although many companies in the states deny it, Alaska and Hawaii are amongst the US states. - Try driving to most of Alaska and getting any satellite radio. (maybe there's some in the south part.)

There's such a big world out there if you just turn off the damn television. You'll live, really.

Check out this little google vid: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4104261162 559881379&q=smart+car&pl=true
Shows smart car crashing into wall - pretty impressive. Might be slashdotted so ...
Maybe I can finally get back that almost 15 sq. inches of pecker skin I never knew..
