Look, I'm sure you've had a pretty bad experience with your IT department. I don't question that. But have you ever thought of why they're doing what they're doing? Have you ever thought of reasons why companies may choose a windows environment? Surely, they all can't be ignorant or malevolent.

Try to look through their eyes. Here we have a person who won't follow any of our policies, who constantly tries to do things that irritate us, who always gives us a piece of his/her mind, and who blindly bashes windows with pseudo-facts. That doesn't sound like a person I'd want to support either.

Full disclosure: I've been a windows only administrator for several years and I've come across few people like you. At first I got angry and defensive like your IT people did. I later found out that people like you usually mean well and know what they're doing. But it was still irritating to see you not follow well meaning policies. And yes, *sigh*, I am Microsoft certified...

This article may be helpful to some newbies, but I'm looking for something extra here. Where's the 802.11X and 802.11i/WPA2 information?

I see WEP mentioned and then WEP2. I think that by WEP2 the author means TKIP. Of corse there is no explanation of what either does and why WEP2/TKIP is better than WEP.

Why bother learning about MitM attacks? Rogue access points? ISD??? You're using WEP for God's sake!!!

This is is basically something I'd expect to see on Digg. Any self-respecting /. visitor already knows everything mentioned in the article.

Paypal scares me now. Too many people depent on it as their sole way to receive payments. I mean, as long as they're the ones getting jacked with the high fees, that's fine with me.

The thing about Paypal is that its buyer protection is rediculous. I've recently sold something to a guy in Europe and sent it with USPS. A few weeks later he disputes saying that he never received the item. Then I look at his eBay feedback and realize that I just got screwed. There is nothing I can do. So now I have to refuse selling to people outside of North America or I have to charge them $50+ for UPS or FedEx.

It seems like after eBay takes their cut and Paypal takes their cut, the seller is left with a sore behind.

I know, right? I'm with you on this one. I would much rather see this kind of question:

    Did God do it?
    a.) Yes
    b.) Praise the Lord
    c.) You betcha'

Who's persecuting you? Last time I checked (and believe me, I check OFTEN) you guys were pretty much in charge of everything. What? No prayer in schools to our Judeo-Christian deity? PERSECUTION!!!! You mean we can't burn witches anymore? PERSECUTION!!!! We can't send all atheists to China?! PERSECUTION!!! I can't express my religiosity? Oh, wait, I can! Shit.

Why not live in a happy moral time, with good families, and worthwhile occupations. Why live in horrible times, working for in the factory of an atheist for minimum wage?

I'm sorry, but, what the FCUK? Maybe someday there will be a time when most people are retarded and this kind of logic will seem valid to everyone. How do you guys come up with this stuff?
