But sites like google use this sort of tracking anyway. They create the link as normal, then "onClick" they do a "this.href=..." to change the url to a google page for tracking + search history etc.
For thoes sites which dont use JS, they point to a redirect script, and use links like "/redirect/?src=http://www.google.com" - where the "src" is validated (unless the dev is an idiot).
It's simply because its stuck in a metal tube and cant connect to a tower, so it goes onto full power... the problem being interference with the radio equipment, in the same way as when you put a mobile phone on a speaker as you receive a text message.
Think how difficult it would be to talk to the control tower when all the mobile phones on the plane are doing this.
The solution is simple though, put a small mobile phone transceiver in the plane, so all the mobile phones can work in a lower power mode as they have something to connect to.
That is a very good point... but for now the appearance of movies etc on my computer, seems to be working quite well - I believe it coming from some unknown source (best guess is the internet).
Personally I hate DVD's anyway, not only do they scratch easily, but they force you to watch 1 minute or so of into and a warning telling me not to pirate the content... with the stuff on my computer I just double click and its there, none of that sh*t.
Couldn't you just go online and buy a US DVD player? Or a Reigion free one? Or download movies online?
Could get a US DVD player, but then there is the 40% import tax on anything (I think 40% is correct)... We do have a region free DVD player (one of five), but they are very difficult to find.
So I have now gone with the third option... well, not quite, they "appear" on my computer without my knowledge - I presume they come from the internet:-)
Windows Vista could offer large organizations improvements in software development, security, reliability
Is M$ the only company that requires its customers to pay more money, and time upgrading to a new version because they cant fix the security and reliability in their current products?
They have been saying this for years... why do their customers still believe that they tell the truth!
Fortunately I am not affected by this, but I know a few people who are red/green colour blind... they load up an insecure "red" location bar, and they wouldn't know, it looks the same as a "green" secure site.
Keep with the FF etc yellow (gold) = secure
Maybe a red bar for insecure / bad websites.
Its not just the International Telecommunications group who want to make changes to our time system.
To my knowledge all the time zones reference from GMT, but because the French like to see them-selfs as the centre of Europe/World, they want the reference to come from "Paris Mean Time"....
One small problem, the abbreviation is PMT
Google's servers automatically record information when you visit our website or use some of our products, including the URL, IP address, browser type and language, and the date and time of your request
Isn't that what mos web servers record anyway... Hell I maintain 10 servers which all collect this information because its a default thing for Apache to record.
"All 288 CPUs shipped by AMD worked perfectly and none needed to be replaced"
My 500Mhz AMD works perfectly... as long as I use reliable software (Linux) not that other product - what's it called again... XPee?

The mobile phones does not bring the plane down.

But why would I buy legal CD's when you have people like Sony installing illegal software on computers?

I saw the screen shots of IE7, then realised that M$ have already realised it at http://www.getie7.com/
Personally I think we should all... http://www.getie7.com/ :-P
M$ liked firefox so much, they stole the firefox website http://www.getie7.com/
