The whole point of the scene was that they were *P*R*O*G*R*A*M*S* that were capable of feeling emotion, specifically love toward their child and between themselves - defeating Smith's argument that only humans were capable of creating something as "insipid" as love.
As I already pointed out, he was a recycling PROGRAM, and she was a highly creative interactive software PROGRAM.

Christianity has its roots in Judaism - aside from that, Christianity is different from every other religion in the world.
