--I saw it today, and except for 1 scene in the Merovingian's club I give it 5/5 stars. It was a fun, wild ride. I'll prolly see it 2 or 3 more times. If I see it again and decide I don't like it *quite* enough for 5*, the LEAST I would give it is 4/5.
--If you're using the suse live cd to do rescues, you should try Knoppix - which doesn't require any writable HD space (if you have 96-128MB of RAM; you can get away with less, if you only run in text mode -- ~20MB minimum RAM.)
--Yep, music is overrated. When I want to listen to music, here's what usually happens:
o Fire up ' mikmod ' in Linux and groove to the old-school.IT's,.mod's and.s3m's (They're free) o Turn on the radio (Gee, it's free too, what a concept) o Throw in one of my old CD's (rare these days; I haven't bought a mainstream CD in like 2 yrs)
--If I don't have a certain piece of music, I either: o Wait till it comes on the radio o Find a friend with the CD and borrow it.
--I have a decent collection of CD's that I don't listen to that much anyway, and you wouldn't find very many mp3's on my HD's. I have no plans to buy a music CD ever again.
--Am I the new face of the anti-RIAA revolutionary? Probably not. I just think music is overrated.
--Didn't exactly work too well for Halo on the PC now, did it?
(I speak from experience.)
(rant) Nvidia needs to get their act together. There's too much app-specific optimization going on. ATI cards are reported to run the game better out of the box, and there's an Nvidia card IN THE XBOX!! I happen to be an Nvidia loyalist at the moment because of their Linux drivers, but they need to make sure their Win drivers don't *have* to be optimized for particular games or they'll go bust! (/rant)
--Ever played Fallout? Even in the original DOS version, there was (at least?) 1 place where you could keep killing a certain beast, but you had to watch your radioactivity. If you hit "sleep" for 24 hours and got radioactive, you could wake up sick or even dead.
--There should be a penalty of some kind for easy, repetitive stuff like that in games.
'Strue, whenever I have to ping a site to test Internet connectivity, Yahoo is the 1st / only thing I think of. With almost anything else, there *might* be a chance they're down.:)
--Resurrection was a LOT better than Aliens 3. In fact Res is probably my favorite in the whole series, because of the char development they did with the Ripley clone.
--Thanks for the blogspot link, MAN that thing is long and detailed.

Not only that, but up until a few years ago it was all shit from the 70's.
