Just because the LDS church enforces the tithing commandment (yeah, it's been around for several thousand years.. check the bible) doesn't mean that its money hungry. Check catholic theology, tithing is in there too, but Catholics don't put as much emphasis on it.
OK. You're wrong on a couple of points. The self-called Mormons who practice polygamy are not official member of the LDS church, and are not referred to as Mormons by the LDS Church. The people who are moving to Texas are moving of their own accord. And its hardly credible to say that they are being persecuted away. Most of the polygamists live isolated in their own communities, away from the majority of the populus.
the suit argues that Apple represented the iPod as being something that would operate in the same fashion across its usable life
"usable life" being the operative phrase there. Apple never claimed that your iPod would last for any number of years. It's simply implausible to argue on basis of "usable life". Some might (stupidly) say its ten years, but another might argue that "usable life" is only up until the one year limited warantee on the product.
I personally don't own a car adapter simply because you have to fork out US $40, at any store, and I'm too lazy to buy one off of the internet. Griffin claims that the iTrip doesn't suck battery life, but that's a totally unsabstantiated claim. My iPod (4G) will run nearly the full 12 hrs without the iTrip, but with it battery life is at best four hours. As for volume setting changing battery life, I've never noticed that, but, at least according to my limited knowledge of electrical physics, makes sense.
I sure am glad that I know that I have a part of my brain that recognizes sarcasm, otherwise I might never have gotten that joke! Goodness, I don't know what I'd do without have of the articles on/.!
Oh, don't count on that. Why would MS make it easy for a person to navigate around the OS via the console. I mean, they already tell you you're an idiot when you try to go into Prog Files of Docs 'n Settings, and that you'll probably end up just screwing everything up.
Hold on! You honestly don't believe the loser who played Anakin is capable of that kind of drama, do you? If they had actually found a decent actor for Anakin in II and III it would have made the ending a lot better.
First of all, good luck finding an mp3 player that plays ogg. And second of all, please read the seventeen comments before yours about how it IS possible to pull files off. The fact that the files are in a hidden file is only a mild deterrent (detergent?). The reason I got an iPod is because all of the other mp3 players are either trash or have a horrible UI. A friend of mine has had both an iRiver and a Creative Jukebox Zen, and the things are pieces of crap. The iRiver had a fatal software error that crashed the HD, and somehow or other the same demise came to his Zen. Plus the UI on the Zen is HORRIBLE. You have this tiny little directional button that either move a tiny bit for slow or a normal bit for really fast. You can't argue with the ipod's ui, unless of course you have no thumbs.
Actually, I don't even think that's human created code. Look's awfully typical of a WYSIWYG editor to me. Unless of course the person has never ever looked at a decent piece of HTML code before. Case in point, every line has a new tag on it. Grr... That's the reason that microsoft is crap: bloated code. And while I'm deviating, I guess I'll share my experience with a publisher exported web page. The page was no longer than 2 normal screen lengths, which would normally be about 2kb of code. The size of this page? Nearly a megabyte of useless CSS code that is never ever ever used in the page. I'd hate to see what the OS code is like...
Pollution? Last I checked the space shuttle used hyrdrogen fuel ( = no pollution). Unless of course you want to start arguing that water vapor is harmful to the atmosphere.
Obviously you've never used an AC'97 onboard chipset, or if you have, you've never heard a decent soundcard because the AC'97 (the standard for OB sound) sound likes crap. It's kind of like listening to mp3's with a chainsaw running in the background.
The inconsistencies in browser support really get on my nerves. I work on my school's web site, and I've been recently trying to implement some XML functionality, only to find out that I have to write COMPLETELY new code for Mozilla. Grr... Anyway, I hate it that MS can't seem to get it into their heads that they can't just throw the standard out the windows and wait for everyone to follow. It really surprises me that they are doing this again, especially with Firefox becoming so prominent (heck... even my parents are using it!). The MS approach to everything that is web design is so unbearably skewed. For instance, to parse an XML document within Mozilla you use the standard document implementation for it that is W3C standard, while in IE you use and ActiveX module, which could come in one of 5 different versions (Microsoft.MSXML{,1,2,3,4}).
People seem to be talking about MS crippling software like its a new practice. Has anyone here seen the differences between XP Home and Pro? Home doesn't even let you connect to a domain! Heck, even 98 lets you do that, which gives it at least one thing over MS's sorry excuse for a 'new' operating system. Really all that MS did when they released XP was slap a new GUI on it and call it compatible with older applications (although I've never seen such claims in practice... kinda makes you think). Why hasn't MS pulled their heads out of the rear ends and rewritten the kernel? Heck, Apple was able to do it, and rather successfully at that. Really, when you think about that claims that MS made when XP came out, about it being so much more stable and secure (**smirk**), and how they made it sound like a new thing, as if the NT was some kind of secret, it makes you kind of wonder what it is that their dev team does (other than put off security fixes for 2-3 weeks so they can sell them to the companies for a pretty penny first).
OK, the thing about spelling being easier in French? Doest my ears deceive me? My impression from three years of french is that they spell a word phonetically (read logically), and then throw in a few i's, e's, and u's for good measure. Take another point: French adds unnecessary consonants to the end of many words. Take standard conjugation for third person plural: you and an -ent to the end of the verb, which is never, EVER, spoken. Sure, it's useful for reading, but it's just garbage on the end of the word that makes it look distinctly french.
And what's this business about English degenerating? Last I checked English was the most widely spoken language because it grows and accepts new words. Case in point Latin. Latin used to be the lingua franca of the entire western world. Rome fell, and it was still widely used (namely in churches). But with the stagnation of Latin, it simply died, because it didn't accept modern words. Really, the Academie Francaise is not going to save the French language, it's going to make it go the way of Latin.
It would be a good idea to switch over to biometrics. However, currently its simply unfeasible, with fingerprint scanners running $100+ USD. Don't get me wrong, it would so much nicer just using my fingerprint than trying to remember 8 random digits.
But one more point. What's to keep people from sniffing out the finger print encoding once it is sent over a network? Any ideas?

Where did you get your facts from, the God Makers?
As one of the parents so aptly put it, chech out the facts
For the record, its The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And for a more accurate view of the church, check out mormon.org.

Good come back... oh wait... this isn't third grade. Sorry!

Would hallucinations of a rabbit come free with that theme, or would you have to subscribe to them in addition?

Oops. I'm stupid. Didn't look at the code well enough. I'm not quite sure what that is to tell you the truth. It's close enough to VB, but not quite.
You're right. It's not VB. Its probably perl or Javascript.

or cockroach, dung beetle, maggot, etc
I've actually heard that they are all places from ONE ski resort. AFAIK Longhorn is like a lodge or something.

Yes. Master of OS's, unless you want to do anything useful.
