    There is a difference... i think blue ray/hd disks will eventually be as cheap to manufacture as dvds and the price will be the same. It is just going to take a long long time. Look at how long it was for cds to take over, at least 5 years, and they were a paradigm shift.

    If you have a datacenter plan on doubling or tripling that wattage because of the need for cooling. Then multiply by 100 or more units, it adds up.

    Aren't prius marathoners being stupid? I thought the whole point of the hybrid was to run the generator at the most efficient point in its powerband; pulse and glide is implicit in its design!

    It means nothing. Every few years microsoft claims to be doing some sort of basic research in computing, and nothing comes of it. I think it is something they do to market their stock to their shareholders.

    Actually I meant 'Flask encoded'. I am not really up on this stuff but the encoder is important.

    Tell that to someone that is comparing audio files encoded with WMP vs Vorbis. I think it was more of an attempt to compare the two 'packages', which could vary wildly in execution and quality.

    This would be assuming that the 5th element blue-ray disk was made with a new transfer. I wouldn't be suprised if the scan used was 10 or more years old, and was one of the reasons the quality was underwhelming. Digital transfers are pretty expensive.

    The bible explicitly says that those who follow the motions of being religious won't get into heaven. They are rare but I have met several enlightened christians that really follow the compassionate teachings of Jesus.

    Unfortunatly the ratio is about 10:1.

    Humans are social creatures and religion is the social 'glue' that keeps us together. Much of the science and culture of today was facilitated by paternalistic chritianity. The word 'Control' has so many negative connotations attached. Religion is a flawed system but what would you replace it with? Has the last 30 years of humanism brought us any closer to a social nirvana?
