i personally would rather actually know what articles are about based on their headlines, than be tricked into reading something by a misleading headline. most headlines aren't "creative", so much as they are "dishonest" in the newspaper.
i skim through my university's paper every other week, and i usually am reminded why i don't read it more often.
hahaha, well truth be told i don't think any of the people i mentioned even own d-link stuff, i've never been a fan.
my linksys stuff has always been fine for me.. network stuff is one thing i just don't like to tinker with, unless it Just Works(TM) i don't really like it.
I must say that I am disgusted with D-Link's poor choice of action. D-Link may think that abuse such as this will go un-noticed, but that is not the case.
While I don't expect my actions to bring your corporation to its knees, I am the "geek" of my family, and I have taken a personal stand by ordering Linksys products to replace any and all of the D-Link networking gear that my parents, siblings, cousins, and roomates are using. I hope that my sacrifice puts a dent in the damage your corporate negligence has caused Mr. Kamp.
google is really just trying to drag this out until there will be enough google queries about the situation itself in the data. they want the feds to see what people really think about their privacy invasions.
the few apple branded ipod accessories on the market are much more expensive and generally not of any better quality than competitor accessories.
they are just making a few bucks extra off of the people who would rather buy apple accessories (like my dad, who cannot be convinced otherwise that a griffin accessory is just as good or probably better for much less)
i think we can all bite our tongues here for the good of the world.
we all know rfid in the form of identification may be cool but it is a little too big brother. if the religious right wants to use the bible as THEIR reason it is bad, i say let them do it. they have a slightly better grip on government than nerds.
myspace is really a dangerous place. it's time for parents to start doing something about it!
you can start by forwarding this message (take out the FWD) to as many concerned parents as you can. if enough parents forward this email, the government will shut myspace.com down.
i don't want to give most computer users too much credit (we all know they generally don't deserve it) but doesn't it seem like most mac users would think, "hmm, strange that i have to enter my password to view this picture.." ?
lets just hope there are no reported cases of this actually pwning anyone lol
1. slurp information from company onto ipod 2. 3. profit $$$
anyway, to all the people who wonder why this is a big deal, the reason is that connecting your ipod is a very innocent looking. obviously there are other ways of hiding what you're doing, but it is perfectly normal to see a teenager, an old lady, or anyone in between hooking their ipod up to a computer to charge / sync.
not to mention, will it be able to hold up in court when the MPAA explains "ok, now we know you can't see the difference, but this machine says there is one"
a lot of record labels give out pre-release cds to magazines and other people who are likely to listen to the cd and promote it on the air, on tv, in the paper etc. this is one way that cds are leaked before they are available to consumers.
if the pre-released cds are watermarked, you know which publication has been leaking them when the mp3s show up online.
apple isn't the only supplier though, it's ignorant to think that itunes is either: a) the only supplier of music b) the only supplier of online music c) the only supplier of music that can work with ipods
the only thing that they do control is extremely limited: they are the only supplier of DRM'd music downloads that work on ipods.
apple also isn't a monopoly in computing. there are hundres of computers, they are called pc manufacturers.

don't leave your bag laying around..
anyway, on campus it would be really nice if i could click a remote and go take a shit without fear that someone would jack my other shit.

WRONG
you are looking at this from too optomistic of a viewpoint.

lol maybe..
now that we've compared 2 artists we finally know the truth about music consumer habits!

most of you seem to be missing this: have any of you ever seen a pirate version of a video that had a res as high as the limited hd res?
wow
