1 - read the posts above yours. i don't see any anger. there are many people talking about how it's a relatively useless feature, but that's about it.
2 - it's true, it isn't a feature anyone should crap their pants over. not every blogging service will be able to work with it anyway.
3 - i would imagine that the setup won't be exactly simple, and a pretty large percentage of the users would be people who don't quite know what 'blogging' is anyway and sign up through the program (if it is available) for a blog account with one of the MSN services.
4 - putting 'go ahead, mod me down' in your post is a cheap way of trying to make yourself look like a martyr or something as soon as you get modded down for a legitimate reason. WEAK
man that is scary, i mean across the pond we have some seriously scary laws (esp since the patriot act) but if any case could just be re-tried because the gov thought maybe they were wrong i'd be terrified.
"I notice that in my version of Firefox the search box defaults to Google, and that the pulldown menu of pre-entered options doesn't even include MSN Search"
it only has 2 web search engines, the rest are specialized (ebay, answers.com, etc) but it DOES include an "Add Engines" link. the page it leads you to does have MSN search
I can personally attest to the fact that many textbooks are now impossible to return.
I go to UCF (Orlando, FL) and I am required to buy a new textbook for nearly every one of my classes now. Even in the past three years it has been harder to find a class that does not demand a new edition.
One class I took this semester required a bundled package, which included a main course text, two useless reference books (the kind you see at the checkout at Borders or B&N, except it was neither clever nor useful). It also contained a small piece of cardboard folded over with a serial number inside.
I bought the bundle for the class, for the sole purpose of finding that serial number. I needed it to access some online quizzes for the class -- required by all students in order to pass a number of weighty group assignments. I never cracked my book open, and probably threw away the reference materials. The total cost was $142 and some change. (Most of the online sections of classes like this have an option where you can buy the serial for about $20 seperately, this one didn't.)
The main text will likely have the chapters re-arranged and be reprinted so there will be a new edition that is required for next year, bundled with the same garbage, just as most of my classes have done.
Oh and the online section was a quiz, done in flash. And we were meant to print out the results, yes printing flash. GG PROF NOOB
the cost of a show for someone such as madonna is completely based on 1) how many people like madonna in the surrounding cities (/states!) and 2) how many people can fit in the venue.
a madonna concert will sell out almost anywhere in the world.
the shows i go to almost never cost more than $12, and most are cheaper than that. Engine Down can't sell as many tickets as madonna, so they keep the ticket prices down. however, Thursday can sell out almost any mid-sized concert venue, and chooses to keep their ticket prices down (i don't think they ever go over $20). this is weird, the bbc usually likes to point out how the riaa (etc) are wrong.
In high school when I applied to the local grocery store (Publix > *) I had to use one of those crap machines. They are truly a disaster. Some don't even have real keyboards, instead using some sort of rubber buttons like that of a "PDA" that is free with rebates every weekend at CompUSA.
I remember making an error, going back a page, and losing everything. It was embarassing to say the least,
"CLEAN UP TEH GIB FROM NOOB TEH WEBGUY ON AISLE 3 PLZ LOLOLO"
so far the only thing they seem to be pushing is cd/dvd sales -- how the hell could it possibly be convenient to buy a cd via paypal via phone? why would i want to send a text message, and then receive a call in order to find out the price and shipping?
if i want music, i want it now, so if i'm shopping i will buy it at the campus music store, or if i am home i will buy it on itunes. the only time i buy cd's online at all are when they are not on itunes or at the cd store.
there's still hope though!
what if i could buy my movie tickets on my phone instead of waiting in line at the theater? that would actually be cool.
i know it is hard for us to admit, because then we can't convince our parents, girlfriends, friends, wives etc that they are necessary, but we pda's are stupid!
i myself have had 4, the Handspring Visor Deluxe, the Sony Clie PEG-N760C, the Sony Clie PEG-T615C, and the Tapwave Zodiac2. in early highschool i used the Visor for notes, but it only was actually productive when i bought the Stowaway keyboard (which is so badass).
every PDA i had after that had cooler stuff on it. in late high school, i watched eps of Aqua Teen Hunger Force with some friends during class on the PEG-N760C, in college i did the same thing with the T615C, and eventually played nintendo roms on the Zodiac in class.
hopefully most of us have gone through enough pda's to realize they are nearly useless by now

yeah i was a bit confused that an interview for Fortune was allowed to have only 3 questions with vague answers..
The SEC and PCAOB arranged the roundtable to solicit feedback about Section 404 of the legislation, which Could Not Be Found...
they can just have a retrial like that?

didn't nixon claim that the watergate incidents must not be investigated because it was an issue of national security?
where is our deepthroat today, is no one left in government uncorrupted?
what happens now, does it just go away? has this been getting news coverage or anything? i don't watch tv so i don't even know.
nintendo has always had very americanized names for their products, at least the american versions. i'm surprised that this system is so, "out there"
ugh mod parent down please.
/. far too many times every single time patents are mentioned.
the idea of patenting patenting or patenting pantent trolling has been brought up on
