ignoring my typ-o of hertz

I haven't really read comics for years , so I've missed out on the over-use of Bad ass thankfully. When i was reading comics it was overload of über good guys and characters like wolverine and Batman were a breath of fresh air.
I just can't stand characters like Spiderman (the movie version more , he was less annoying in the comics) or superman (really really dislike superman ) The main problems i had with superman was that he was basically indestructible and such a goodie goodie, so it was very easy to figure out the course of plots *Civilian in danger* *Kryptonite* blah blah
When i was a lad , you didn't hear about such new fangeld things at MHZ;) Seriously though , that was a lapse in concentration , i did honestly mean mhz
Batman was more of a vigilante than a super-Hero . He just gets thrown in with all the other Super-Heros. to make a rough short list.
Superman..Super strength , flight , x-ray vision , Heat vision , near indestructible , bit of a mummies boy Spiderman , Walk on walls , super athletic abilities , irritating teeny bopper Wolverine, Regeneration , adamantium skeleton , Cool claws , Hard ass cool guy( rare in being a bad ass super hero with actual super powers) Captain America., um he had a shield he could throw , super athlete , proto-super hero and all around irritating goit Batman , No super powers , Cool tech , Rather dark and likeable nut-case
Batman comes second only to Wolverine , being that both are actually cool non mothers-boys but wolverine wins out because he actually has super powers.
Hm Imac and Burgers sounds nice. We have Great BBQs here in Germany , just they have never got good Burgers (or any ) Plenty of Sausage though. That is so off topic.... um cough... I have been rather disheartened by the recent inequality of prices in computer equipment , mainly due to the weak dollar and rise of the Euro. The potential savings (even including buying a Voltage converter) is into the hundreds
Satan chances his guise often during the IT world , IBM was the great Satan at one point. Its business , And Intel can Supply the Mobile and Desktop chips needed to power the systems at a good rate and a reasonable price. In the IT business , you go with what can most effectively get the job done for you company , and from the looks of it Apple believe Intel are the way forward. looking at the current share prices i would say they have a good amount of agreement. Apple and IBM were at a time business rivals , However Apple and Intel have never had any real problems with each other. I am sure Apple would have loved to be using AMD tech , but AMD just couldn't handle Apples needs whilst satisfactory handling the needs of the grey box producers and end users. So the only real choice for chips was Intel, No other company has the Fabrication Capacity.
Plus the P4 may not be a great chip , but the Pentium M is certainly a pocket rocket
Ouch , Over here (in my part of Germany) the best i can get is from the apple store at around 1299 Euros. Looking at an under 1k USD price over there i could pick up an iMac and an eMac for the price of the cheapest iMac here.
AMD was defiantly right about GHZ not being a good measure of performance. The GHZ myth is a long standing one , the only times a GHZ comparison is reasonable,is on identical chips(bar obviously the clock rate)
True on Both points , but there is little chance that AMD could supply the number of chips apple needs , which would land it in the same hole its in now. Plus the AMD mobile chips can not really compete toe to toe with the Pentium M. Apple never was just about speed , its about quality.
Starting at 1299 (IIRC) i wouldn't really call the iMac a budget Desktop. The Budget apples are the eMac and Mac-Mini (and also the iBook arguably).I would more declare the iMac as apples to of the range consumer Desktop (the PowerMac more being aimed towards the professional market)
Defiantly works , so long as you have money to fight it out in court / can generate enough media hype to get a lawyer to represent you for the sheer celebrity factor.
Ah come on , Give Dvorak a break(preferably starting at the neck).Everyone's entitled to be right at least twice in their lives. So I'm fairly sure if he keeps mumbling on with his mad theories and obvious statements he will get another one. So far though,He is a more reliable source for news than Fox (which recently fell behind Nostradamus in credibility rankings)
It will join such classics as Resident Evil the movie , The Mario brothers movie , Alien VS predator(comic as well but still fits in here) , Tomb Raider.... Oh wait they were all pretty much terrible It will need a miracle to make this conversion anything beyond awful , the best of which being Tomb raider and it was fairly poor. Game to movie conversions have for some strange reason (perhaps its the total disregard for the plot (Mario) or the shoddy acting and poor scripts (most of them)). I am not getting any hopes up here , lets hope for a pleasant surprise though
I've just been doing a large amount of reading concerning the Sino conflicts and history of the region since the opium wars and cheerfully retract the statement(as well as a bit of reading about the history of split from china ).
Also there is a strong chance the only reason socialist republic of Vietnam is going strongly with MS is because China is going with Linux. A lot of bad blood over the years between the two (most recently the sino-soviet conflicts in the late 70s and the border skirmishes through the region , though relations are better now ). I do imagine they wouldn't want there systems on anything like china has.
MS forces its way into another market with pay-offs completely ignoring the countries Human Rights abuses . You know they could of leveraged their position a little for some good , since they are going to be giving them a lot of software , they could of asked politely that they try to clean up their human rights record a little. You then get a PR coup for MS and the Vietnamese officials and a victory for people. That's just dreaming though , Admittedly companies have no need to do anything like this , it would be nice if they did though
I partially agree , though i do prefer governments to corporations;) too much cyber punk i imagine. I was not being entierly serious either , just i seem to be really missing my attempted dry satire a lot today
I thought i had read that somewhere , I was not sure though So i didn't mention it. If that is true, then the strike on the city to me then seems to be one of the greatest atrocities of the war.Unless the US top brass knew nothing of this , which is highly doubtful.
I didn't say it was the only horror, but it was certainly one of them.
killing that many people is a horror , Perhaps not the worst horror but a horror non the less. It may have saved lives we do not know that for sure . That does not mean it was not a hideous act. A lesser horror is still a horror , War is a vile evil thing.
What they call a civilian target and what i would call a civilian target are very different things apparently. Fair enough wipe out factories with bombing raid , but taking out the entire city , Men , women , children etc. is a little beyond just a military target.

By the time that eventually gets released i expect things to be in a Yottah-herz rating

I've got a rather nice Voltage converter I picked up for playing some import tech ;).
Never leave home without one

If they do get the nukes running on windows , lets just hope they do as a lot of MS programs do and call home
Birds of a feather ,they flock together

Post as yourself next time , Maybe i will take you a little more seriously.
