This litigation follows a recent ruling from the Fair Trade Commission of Japan (JFTC), which found that Intel abused its monopoly power to exclude fair and open competition, violating Section 3 of Japan's Antimonopoly Act. These findings reveal that Intel deliberately engaged in illegal business practices to stop AMD's increasing market share by imposing limitations on Japanese PC manufacturers. Intel did not contest these charges.
The European Commission has stated that it is pursuing an investigation against Intel for similar possible antitrust violations and is cooperating with the Japanese authorities.
So, as you can see, these allegations are far from the 'drivel' you make them out to be.

Interesting read...it's high time we saw some legal action against Intel for all these shenanigans. However, I'm doubtful that this will resolve anything...in reality, Intel will probably be about as inconvinenced by this antitrust action as Microsoft was by theirs.
Here's how the post was supposed to look...sorry about that...

Configurable triggers such as removal or tampering of the drive, removal of device from a resting GPS point, cellular telephone call, or even a change in temperature will release a chemical mist into the drive (not the computer) destroying it layer by layer.
Damnit! I had this exact same idea over a year ago! Actually, it wasn't exactly the same...*my* idea involved C4.
....which makes it EVEN BETTER , IMNSHO...
If I had just marketed it, I'd be in Aruba by now....*sigh*

Good day, gentlemen. As you are no doubt aware, I have perfected a device capable of altering the orbital path of the moon. First of all, I must offer kudos on a most inspired cover story...'illusion' indeed...really, a first rate piece of propagan-da. Of course, you know it cannot last...
You see, gentlemen, things will only get worse...my device, which I've dubbed 'the Lunatrix', will continue destablizing the moon's orbit, drawing it ever closer to our fragile planet. First, abnormally high tidal waves will decimate all costal regions...then, as the tidal influence grows steadily stronger, geological disruptions will occur on a global scale, tearing apart the earth's crust like fresh bread, releasing the liquid-hot mag-ma within. No place on the planet will be safe...civilization as you know it will cease to exist...that is...unless you pay me...
One hundred billion kajillion fafillion dollaaars!!!
I myself am coming from the opposite direction (Microsoft guru, *nix acolyte), and from what I've seen, a decently cross-skilled admin can pretty much write their own ticket. I wouldn't go so far as to say that if you aren't cross-skilled, you will eventually be unemployable...there will always be work for an admin that's competent enough, especilly a Unix admin like yourself. But a cros-skilled admin brings much more to the table...not just for the obvious reason of being able to work on either platform, but because they can work on both platforms. The point I'm trying to get across here is that Unix/Microsoft interoperability is a big matzah ball in today's tech world, and an admin that can understand how Windows and Unix play together (and why they occasionally don't) will be valued much more...in essence, the cross-skilled tech is worth more than the sum of his parts.
Well...that sounds awfully like a revenant... (No..that's no good...hold on...) Well, you're just a big mancubus... (No, damnit...that sucks too...damnit!) That's a remarkably trite thing to say... (Yes!)
Once more, panic swept across our fair world when it was revealed by the Council that the invaders from the evil blue planet intend to assault our innermost fortress satellite. The fortress satellites, which have stood guard over our world since the Council placed them into orbit over ninety Great Cycles ago, have easily fought off all invaders in the past. Against the cunning machines manufactured by the disgusting water bags inhabiting the evil blue planet, however, the fortress satellites may be more vulnerable than previously thought.
K'Breel, Speaker for the Council, stressed that there was no cause for alarm:
"Once again, the evil blue planet seeks to make filthy war against us. They think that by invading and neutralizing one of our fortress satellites, they will secure some measure of victory. Let me assure you, that is far from the truth. The Great Council placed the two fortress satellites in orbit over ninety Great Cycles ago, and have we not advanced since then? Today, at our present level of development, we could easily field two eights-of-eights that number. I know I speak for the Council when I laugh at the pathetic scrabblings of the evil blue planet!"
When asked if rumours were true that the faction of blue-planet-inhabitants responsible for the threatened invasion was the same as the one who had just recently failed utterly to launch a primitive solar sail device into space, K'Breel laughed maniacally.
What's illegal is any non-govermental organization requesting your SSN (including banks). It was never intended to be used that way. Of course, you're entirely free to not share your SSN with the bank...and they're just as free to deny you an account.
Maybe someday will they use some retinian-fingerprints-DNA stuff instead of SSN?
Ah yes...biometrics.
The problem with biometrics is that they are just as easy to steal as anything else...and when they are stolen, it's difficult to get a new fingerprint, retina, iris, or DNA code reissued.
Somewhere in the digital universe your biometric data resides as a hash...just like your passwords . Biometrics as security is seriously overblown.
An unemployment claim that is fraudulently made on a stolen Social Security number would be easier to detect if there were a national database of stolen Social Security numbers.
With all the theft of personal information in the news lately, and considering that a large percentage of this stolen information was Social Security numbers, it might be easier to compile a national database of Social Security numbers that haven't been stolen. ^_^
Seriously, though, this is just yet another good argument to ditch the Social Security number system entirely...it's clearly not working. Essentially, with just one number, you have a system where the SSN is both the public and the private part of the ID, and as any security professional can tell you, that simply is not a workable model.
you must not be part of a large organization that has trouble cracking down on spam at will
Actually, I am....and we had to put in a new spam filter because the spam for many others at the compant was fast becoming unmanageable...meanwhile, I get zero spams in my company account.
Unfortunately, your wrong.

You're kidding right?
No, he's not kidding. He's astroturfing.
Try to ignore him.
You might want to read the complaint before you come to such an abrupt, erroneous decision.
Unless, of course, you're just astroturfing.

Please explain to me how easy it would be to "steal" the pattern of my iris and then use your stolen data to authenticate against the reader.
When you scan your iris, just what do you think the scan is being compared with, genius?
After your done with that
After my done with that what?
explain to me which is harder... Authenticating with a stolen password or a "stolen" iris.
After you obtain the biometric data, it's exactly the same difficulty, since it's exactly the same operation.
Here's one for you, Hawking...which is easier to replace if compromised...your password, or your eye?
You are seriously unenlightened, a fool and tend to oversimply things you do not understand.
Just replace 'are' with 'am' and 'You' with 'I', and you could use that as your

Where exactly did you pull that from? Of course it's still theft of service...you seem to be confusing theft of service with denial of service.
They're two completely seperate things.
