what's interesting is that even though their storage requirements have been increasing, the cost of the needed storage has probably been dropping drastically along the way. I bet they are spending less on storage now than they did in the 90s, even though they are probably storing a few orders of magnitude more data. so from a costs perspective...which is how DreamWorks looks at it...it's a non-issue
The 2 rendered viewpoints for 3D vision are not the only stored data. It's all the 3D models and textures and animation sequences AND the rendered scenes. So 30% seems pretty reasonable.
That's probably the truth. And it probably has to do with scale. The use of drones and number of strikes is increasing so rapidly that the CIA probably doesn't have the infrastructure to scale up with it appropriately. A large org like the Pentagon is needed to scale up drone use. But of course the CIA will continue to use drones in a small way for their programs.
U don't NEED a car. Get a scooter. But still, car insurance shouldn't cost more than $50/month. U can rent a room in a house/apt for $300-400/month in most places in the US. U can pay $200/month for food.
Ugh. I was worried this is where you were going with that comment. We need better science education.
This clearly doesn't apply to the discussion on Neanderthal genes. Mice and Humans have shared genes due to our common ancestors, but we have no Mice genes in our genome. Similarly, we obviously would not have any Neanderthal genes unless our ancestral species mated with them (if it was even possible).
WTF? The Casino has no interest in who wins in poker. The Casino takes a cut of the bet regardless. The Casino is only interested in maintaining a fair/safe playing environment to attract players.
Outside of the world of poker, games like blackjack, craps, etc. have strict rules about how the Casino must play their hand/dice. Knowing the players cards/bets can't change their behavior.
Neanderthals weren't a distinct culture. They were a different species from our ancestors at the time.
A big chunk of the world's population have a significant proportion of Neanderthal genes.
Citation needed. I studied Anthropology in the 90s, and I don't think there's credible proof that modern humans have Neanderthal genes in any significant amount, or that Neanderthals mated with our ancestors at all.
FYI...my wife and I were paying $35/month each for LA Fitness. Then they offered us the same membership for $18/month each if we signed a 3 yr contract, which we did. Maybe u can get the same...
I guess it depends where you live, but there are plenty of nice gyms in many areas for $20-$30/month (i.e. LA Fitness - I pay $18/month). If you use it, that's crazy cheap for what you get access to. But yea, $80/month seems pretty expensive.
ur also assuming a one on one fight...a swarm of a dozen small drones could easily overwhelm a single larger plane...even with some latency (all planes have some partial autonomy).
When America was settled, the Brits and later the US Gov gave land away for free to people who would take it. As more and more people came and wanted that land, it became more valuable. So the people who bought the swampland called Manhattan for a few hundred bucks several hundred years ago benefited immensely, whereas the schmuck who bought a one bedroom apartment in Manhattan for $1M in 2007 didn't do so well.
It's not a ponzi scheme. Just the way things get value in the world.
I think remote employees come about in many cases because a traditional company has an employee or potential hire who is drawing a line in the sand and saying I can only work for you if I work remote. If that employee is good enough or important enough to the business, they might agree, even though everyone recognizes that it would be even better if they were local.
The prize will come with a plaque that says, "I'm a badass scientist, Bitch"

I think very few people fit the case you describe. Not many people are buying desktops these days, and if they have one sitting around it's probably old and not capable of gaming, or it's a shared machines that can't be left hooked up to the TV.
plenty of businesses brand themselves as christian brands; maybe it's a bit of irony; maybe a bit of ethical business and branding

because at the moment it's more of an art than a science for many applications.
If we're going to talk at that level, can we not just say that all energy is renewable then? I mean it's never lost. It just changes states.
No tech support.
It's the American armed non-forces taking out targets. That's the diff. That's the beauty of using drones.

not better.
I'd take power/weight savings over processing speed any day in my phone. Wish Apple/Samsung would optimize for that.

U pay pretty much no taxes at $16k/yr
How about they ask her for $24.
Seems pretty reasonable.
Would still deter people from sharing thousands of songs.

Mice genes on the other hand ...
Huh?

I see value in having something of value off the grid in virtual/digital format. For when the shit hits the fan.
It's like keeping some gold in a safe in your home. Perhaps less stable/reliable but differently accessible/spendable for increased diversification.
