how long before we have distributed computing on phones?
dynamically initiated as users subscribe to problems of interest, or link a bunch of phones via wifi to do real time image processing?
would be nice for the military out in the field...providing soldiers with a way to do some heavy data analysis with minimal overhead.
and why waste all these increasingly powerful CPU/GPUs sitting dormant in our phones at night?
pushing relevant info to me is boring. I can find relevant information on my own.
pushing irrelevant information to me is far more interesting and challenging. Show me new things that I wouldn't normally express interest in or come across on my own.
Why would any company want to support an organization that purposefully breaks US law and jeopardizes our own nation's safety? Any corporation that helps to shut down wikileaks can have my business.
Really? My XBOX 360 is still more powerful than any computer I own...and probably more powerful than most computers that most people own...especially with the consumer shift towards laptops over desktops.
Besides, what would I get in a next gen console that I don't have now? I'd rather have them spend their money on more a advanced online experience, more multimedia features, and better game design/interaction.
Chinese Headlines claim for a period of nearly 21,018,240 minutes...nearly 100% of Internet traffic has been routed through the United States....wonder if they're worried about the balance of power?
huh? MS makes a product, charges for it, and people are up in arms? Are you all crazy? It's just good business. Get over it. If you prefer a free solution like Android, fine, but don't bemoan a company trying to recoup a huge investment in software development, etc. and make a business out of it.
I think this car is an amazing idea and a vast improvement over what most people in India drive.
Here are some photos of the types of traffic patterns one encounters in major cities like New Dehli and Jaipur. These were taken during a recent visit to the country.
You nuts that start railing on the war in Iraq miss the point and do a disservice to the troops who serve in our military.
It's not about war being good or bad. It's not about the Iraq, Afganistan, Vietnam, or WWII.
It will always be in our interest to keep our soldiers alive and healthy, so relax and be grateful.
On a side note, there's nothing to stop this from being used to treat civilians on the battlefield.
no fricken lasers out at sea.
Anyone else notice that they are building an Arm powered ARM powered computer? Now requiring only half as many cranks.
